You don't really have a lot of choices in Whyalla

Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room. Very happy with my stay. Highly recommended.

Reasonable value with breakfast included. A large hotel-motel with lots of units. A bit noisy but it was a Saturday night.

Stayed at Westland a few times, however this time was disappointing. Walked into a room, but air conditioner remote was not working, and due to the ageing air con (at least 20 years) they couldn’t find a replacement from another room. They then moved me to next door which has a new air conditioner and cooled the room, at around 10pm at night the smoke alarm started beeping due to low battery directly above your bed!!!!! You can imagine the high pitch sound beeping every 10 seconds drove me insane, unfortunately no one could help as reception was closed and smoke alarm was one of those directly wired. This makes me wonder, isn’t the annual smoke alarm check mandatory for commercial properties????? We even change the battery at home once a year from all the campaign, how did this slip through the crack?

The room had everything we needed and the bathroom was adequate for our needs. The motel had a good restaurant where we ate for the two nights of our stay. The included buffet continental breakfast was a great bonus as there are few cafes in Whyalla.

The single bed spread looked dirty and past it use by date. The curtains in the room didn’t join and cover the window so it was like daylight while trying to sleep because of the outside lights.

Overpriced with too many hidden charges. Dirty bathroom upon arrival

Room was ok. Clean and tidy. Shower in room needs replacing. Dinner was excellent and staff fantastic.
