Overall wasnt a great stay, ill keep it short and sweet and list positives and negatives rather than go into detail Positives - All staff friendly and helpful, nice location, if you can book a deluxe room so you get a first floor room with outside table and chairs and a view of the golf course. Treatment and spa faciltes were good though theres no jaqoozi. Comfy bed! Negatives - Organisation, i had spa day and lunch, it wasnt explained about where lunch was or what was included i had to ask all the questions. I wasnt told the £15 limit for lunch so i went over and they then expected me to pay the difference but they agreed it was unfair. Room cleanliness, bathroom wasnt great, nail clippings on floor and 100’s of small hairs all around the bath after someones shave! Room was very warm and it wasnt even that hot outside, take a fan in hot weather! Food prices very high for what you get, nothing special! Took 30 mins to get my drink at dinner and 65 mins to get my burger and chips, apparantly staff were off sick and there was a new bar man who delayed drinks I wouldnt go back for the price you have to pay and what you get

Last minute, this place is only good if you play golf. We arrived late, no water or biscuits in room, told it wasn’t included. Bed was too hard. Small bottle of water cost £3.50 only from the bar. Had a group of 30 men here, rude loud and disgusting. Breakfast, not bad , anything from self service was hit hard by these men eating everything that was out. Not refilled. By staff until we were leaving.

Great location for a short break. Excellent leisure facilities. Not far from Shrewsbury which is definitely worth a visit being almost encircled by the River Severn. Look forward to staying again and exploring more of Shropshire.

Stayed here for a wedding at another local venue; on arrival at 12pm, my room was ready so was able to check in early with no problems. Staff were friendly and polite. Room was fine; comfortable and spacious. Overall, not a bad price for a Friday night.

The room was big, modern and spacious. Facilities we’re good Whitchurch is a 20 minute brisk walk. If you need a taxi to come back in the evening, pre-book or you might also striggle to reach any of the nine taxi companies in the area. Breakfast was great as were the pool and gym. I can also recommend the Black Bear in town for its foods and craft ales.

Excellent service throughout our 3 day stay, specially Helen, Emily &Linda at reception, Kate Dingle - Head housekeeper , kept our room clean and tidy, bar & restaurant staff - Deckland & Sue were very helpful

Hotel needs updating, its clean but décor is tired and the rooms also need attention, TV in room 125 has small cracks and is very old, also the wind you can hear coming from the golf course through the patio windows. My son was with me and grandson and didn't have a particularly great time due to the leisure centre having no spa treatments available yet they booked this as a spa weekend break for my grandsons 14th B-day. Also the young lad behind the leisure centre desk was very rude!!

All in all the stay was good and pleasant, one thing I missed at a place like this was a jacuzzi and one other thing was at the spa, My wife haded to have a refund for her nails

Wash basin cracked, tv not working properly, coffee machine horrid, toilet flush not working, cracks on walls. Booked months in advance and repeatedly asked the hotel to confirm the pool would be open for our stay. They never replied until a few days before our stay and too late to book elsewhere, they said the pool would be restricted and not open for one daybof our stay even though we had paid for it. Breakfast had items missing and on christmas day they ran out if trafitional smoked salmon! People complained their chtistmas day dinner was rubbish. On one day only one serving staff so my toast arrived half an hour after the cooked breakfast. Mentioned all this at reception abd got an apology but no offer of refund
