We booked a room at the Hilton to make it easier during my child’s swim meet.
The room we stayed had a plumbing issue.
The moment we entered, we noticed a smell but I couldn’t pinpoint the problem. On the next day, we noticed the horrible smell was a lot stronger when we were leaving to the meet in the morning. By the time we returned to our room later in the day, the smell was unbearable. We were nauseated. The whole room smelled like poop and so did our clothing which was left in the room. I spent the evening doing laundry in the hotel trying to get rid of the smell from our clothing. When we brought our concern to the front desk, we were offered Febreze instead of another room. Apparently Hilton solves plumbing issues with Febreze. I am still in shock in how the situation was handled or more accurately, not handled at all. What was meant to be a comfortable time before my child’s event turned to a nightmare and we are still disgusted and sleep deprived from it.
