韋爾斯薩默塞特普瑞米爾飯店(Premier Inn Wells (Somerset))

We love premier inn it's a great family hotel and we also love Wells. We have stayed at this hot before but this stay was not good. The room was like a sauna overnight the air con was not working. We didn't want to wake our children so had to grin a bear it. Reported to reception in the morning. Breakfast was good!

The room was clean and comfortable with a king size bed and a good supply of tea and coffee. The staff were very helpful and present and breakfast very nice. The windows were not able to be opened but there is air conditioning once you can figure out how to use it. The centre is a short walk away where you can cut through morrisons car park opposite although there is no path out of the car park without hopping over the fence.

This is a great hotel to stay at in the Wells area and offers so much more than others in the area. Parking easy. Rooms spacious and new looking. Air conditioning. Choice and quality of food (I’ll come back to this). If you read reviews, read some covering the parking issues of other hotels in town. They seem limited in size or hard to get in/out of. Other hotels look tired and lack the modern facilities (good size tv or a/c). Food. My god the local hotels and restaurants are so poor with the variety of the choice of food. The Premier Inn’s food choices and quality is brilliant. Staff were fantastic and could not fault at all. Other hotels and restaurants visited in the area fell flat on both. Bored and unhelpful staff or poor food choices or, just poor quality.

Excellent break.Premier Inn very comfortable. Premier Plus room offers extra facilities, good valuefor money. Staff,as always ,friendly and helpful. Wells itself is a great city with much to see.We loved the Bishops Palace and Cathedral, where we met Basil the cat.Plenty of pubs and restaurants.

Excellence stay at the premier inn wells. Rooms were spotless and could see the tor from our room on the top floor. Credit to Reece and Jaz in the thyme restaurant, both looked after us and smile on their faces. The online check in machines didn’t work so had wait to check in at reception

We stayed 3 days here after another more upmarket stay elsewhere for my birthday. Wells is an easy walk and very picturesque. We had breakfast here which was well presented and prepared. Poached eggs were lovely, thanks to the chef. Reception were very pleasant, the room and common areas clean and neat. The sleep experience was not particularly good as the air conditioning does not go lower than 19C and I suspect never achieved that, but an overly warm sleeping environment is not what led me to give 3 stars to this stay. No, I inadvertently left a bag, containing all my laundry from 3 days stay in Wells, and 2 nights at the Crowne Plaza elsewhere, on a hook behind the bathroom door. I tried to contact the number for reception all day after checkout when I realised, about 200 miles away. When I got through the following day I was advised I would be called back. After more calls, and 3 days later the bag has not been recovered and as I had overheard during my second contact that the person who cleaned my room “tends to throw left items in the bin” I have now given up any hope of recovering the £250+ worth of clothing this contained. This is not Premier Inn policy or training. Premier Inn Customer Support advise I contact the police and tgen swiftly hung up on me. So whatever you do, do not leave anything to chance, take everything with you, and look behind the bathroom door.

The hotel looked okay when we arrived. Parking was also not an issue, however you have to pay for the parking - a separate charge from the accommodation charge. The room was fairly clean, bathroom same - could have been cleaned better , the bed sheets were actually very clean. The room has big windows however they can’t be opened at all. It is the first time I experience this in an accommodation in UK, the air conditioner has to be on at all times to get some air, and at night time it is actually very unpleasant as your mouth dries and you get a sore throat and it makes a continuous noise. If you turn it off then the air gets very stuffy . I found this a major problem - we stayed there for 3 nights. We had dinner reserved for the 3 evenings too, but after the first evening we cancelled the other 2 as the food was not great I’m afraid. Luckily there are restaurants in the area with great food. The hotel was quiet, so that was a good thing. Overall, I was not very impressed. I would try another accommodation if we travel again to the area.
