Really, really disappointed by this stay. A beautiful property in arguably the best area of DC was diminished by apathetic front desk trainees and trash/stains (contact lenses, stains on the side of the toilet) left by the previous guest. When we made a request to have the room cleaned the next day, the same trainee asked when we checked in, only for him to say it wasn’t policy and he’d do “his best.” The room was never cleaned nor were our concerns addressed. I’ve worked in customer service for more than 10 years and never make public reviews but this was so off base for how much we spent, I couldn’t keep this to myself. I hope this is a rare experience.
