夢景別墅(Dreamview Villas)

DreamView Villa is located on the peak of Volivoli Rd overlooking the famous Navitilevu Bay. The villas are well maintained, hygienically kept with a family size pool for indulgence. The rooms are well ventilated welcoming the sea breeze which is refreshing. The only thing that needs attention is the bathing towels - they need to be changed.

We came here as we have three children and the villas are large. The road to get here was terrible, and there is no where to get food anywhere near by. As the villa are very isolated, I would suggest bringing a lot of food and water. These villa might have been 5 star before Covid lockdowns, but they are no longer. They are very run down, and are in need of a lot of work. The pool has cracked tiles and is in need of a lot work. The rail around the pool has rusted so much, it is no longer joined to pool wall. Villa is large and would have been beautiful, but is now very run down and is also in need of work. The area the villas are in is beautiful, on top of a a hill. The views are amazing, very pretty spot. I hope they can get their business back on its feet and get this place fixed up.

I stayed in the more expensive marina villa which cost FJ$242.00 a night. It is down a steep hill that you cant access by road. the wifi signal is too weak meaning you cannot watch tv or use the internet. There is no beach here. There is a kitchen no restaurant with mostly homemade Indian food. The hot water did not work so for two days I had cold showers. The nicer villas with the view are at the top of the cliff. There appeared to be no other guests the whole time during my stay. The lights and gas were not turned on when I arrived at the villas. The staff were rude and just laughed amongst each other when I told them of my problems with the room. There are no activities at the site except for the pool. Other resorts in the area I saw have a beach, and marina and are really nice. The pillows were old and smelled bad. The bathroom and kitchen were separate from the bedroom.

I was going to write a narrative describing the most awful lodging experience I have ever had, but frankly, I’m so done with it that I’ll leave it to bullets. Let me start by saying that my wife and I are very active, athletic seniors. We were both competitive athletes in our youth. We have traveled extensively, are multi-lingual, and lived in Panama, Spain, Norway, USA, and Canada. We booked this “villa” for 6-nights to use as a base for exploring northern Viti Levu. We checked in in the evening and this is what we found: • Filth • Dead flies and other insects all over the inside of the accommodation. The corners of the staircase were covered with dead flies. • At home we do not wear shoes, here we could not take them off. If we wiped a surface or the floor, the wipe came back black. • Food leftovers in the kitchen sink. • The dishes were filthy. • The cooking utensils and appliances were filthy. We would not use any of it. • The toilets had “stains” underneath the seats and were overall gross. • It was supposed to be air conditioned. Each bedroom had an air conditioner, but only one worked and the rest of the house was not. • There were two thin blankets stuffed in a closet. Neither were folded, they were randomly rolled up and smelled of some floral perfume. They were gross and unusable. • The views are really good. • The owner helped tow my car back onto the track that it had slid off of after a torrential downpour. • It is remote. We had paid in full for 6-nights and left after the first night. We would have sooner if it had been remotely possible.

L’ensemble est correcte, pas de wifi, pour ceux qui cherchent l’isolement uniquement…

Please do stay away from this place. We seen photos of the rooms but we were offered dark haunted rooms Which we didn't end up staying in as my wife has phobia we found alternative The hotel still charged me The place wasn't as shown on the booking agoda False and misleading. Please refund my money greedy owners Reported to police and visa too Saga continues. I emailed them various times but all they care about is money and not anything else.

Amazing place to stay a very good scenic views. Only place to improve on is the small insects.
