Espaço excelente mesmo em frente a praia Totalmente renovado a pouco tempo, em familia ou em negócios será certamente umas das melhores opções das redondezas, ao seu redor tem de tudo um pouco restaurantes supermercados farmácias… Recomendo vivamente

I was on holiday with family and friends. We were ebiking to Santiago, Spain. We were running low on batteries and stopped in Vila Praia de Ancora, Viana do Castelo District, Northern Portugal. Where we found kindness at the Albergaria Quim Barreiros. I asked about renting a couple of hours of “charging time” for our batteries. The nice lady at the desk called her supervisor, who then allowed us to charge our bike batteries for free. I didn’t get to stay here, but definitely will the next time!

I arrived very early. Early October and it was predicted to be 30C at midday so I woke up very early and walked hard the 20km to arrive before the real heat of the day. The receptionist was amazing. She arranged for an early check in at 11.30 and couldn’t have been nicer. Whilst the room is a little tired ( it’s the first photo in the list here with the twin beds and the fishing boat painting above the beds). It’s not an expensive hotel but the reception, lift etc all look in good condition. The lobby and common areas were cool, however I couldn’t seem to get the a/c to work in the room The receptionist was extremely helpful but apparently the building is on one system and nothing can be done to make my room cooler. I would like to praise the hotel for its cleanliness, the helpfulness of the staff, etc. but it seems to me that 30C isn’t very hot for the Portuguese summer. This isn’t the summer, so before you stay here I strongly suggest you check out if the a/c has been improved.

Really good location. Hotel is very basic. We were on Camino so it suited and was good value. No toiletries, no facilities but large clean good towels and a decent bed for the price. Acoustics are terrible internally but we were so tired from the day walking it didn't bother us that much.

One would expect to get a decent place for 90 euros per night. Instead, you get mouldy bathroom with no toiletries, dirty floor covered in sand, uncomfortable bed with minimal covers and hard pillow. It offers no breakfast. You also get a disturbed sleep from the noise. Do not get tricked by seaview rooms, only some get to enjoy that. Others get view of neighbouring messy backyards. One should probably do better in 10 euros a night hostel. Avoid at all cost.

Eu como atleta da equipa Notícias de Colmeias Atletismo, vim participar no grande TRAIL Serra D'arga e trouxe comigo a família com uma criança pequena. Sem nos terem dado qualquer informação acerca das noites com DJ do bar ao lado, fomos instalados no quarto 108, com vista para o mar. Fomos muito bem recebidos e com muita simpatia. O que aconteceu durante a noite é inadmissível, uma pessoa a querer descansar para uma prova, e ter que levar com a música até às 3 da manhã quando tinha que me levantar às 6h30. Resultado é que neste quarto ninguém conseguiu dormir às 3 da manhã. Fui informado pela autoridade local que o estabelecimento em causa tem uma licença camarária até às 3 da manhã e que a residencial nos deveria ter alertado para as devidas consequências. Para uma próxima prova na Serra D'arga, a albergaria Quim Barreiros, agora alojamento local é um local a evitar e quem quiser ficar a pernoitar neste local, evite os quartos virados para a estrada, pois ao fim de semana é difícil conseguir dormir pelo menos no quarto 108 até às 3 da manhã.
