Excellent will return

The hotel was very well laid out and welcoming. The lack of a decent Chardonnay, my wife's preference, was a blip, as was the stuffiness of the bedroom. I understand that it is necessary to prevent someone falling from the window, but a little more leeway in the opening would have been welcome. We enjoyed the stay, particularly the spa facilities.

I was surprised at the price when I booked since it seemed low. The location is fabulous and we had a room overlooking the lake with a patio but the room was SO shabby and worn out which I guess explains the price. The bathroom wasn't clean so we had to ask them to come and clean it - which they, to their credit did, sort of! We stayed here for our honeymoon 37 years ago and loved it. They are obviously doing renovations so hopefully the rooms like the one we stayed in will be next!

The hotel was very attractive and although busy didn't detract from meeting friends. only thing was it was a very warm room even though we turned radiator down this made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. And a table lamp didn't work! But overall it was a comfortable room and pleasant hotel

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay on the drive home from visiting family and St. Pierre Country Club would have been the perfect place were it not for the noise. The grounds are stunning, the room was comfortable and spacious, it was just what we needed until guests came home from an event in the early hours of the morning, drunk, rowdy and noisy. I know that this happens with hotels, and that the other guests were just enjoying themselves. They woke us up, but we could have quickly settled back to sleep until one of them started banging on the door of a room down the corridor. I poked my head out to see what the noise was and to see if I could assist, and a drunken, aggressive women shouted at me before resuming kicking the door of her room (I presume she was locked out). The high ceiling meant that sound was carried down the corridor and echoed loudly throughout our room. As the kicking sound went on, I phoned the reception hoping that someone could let her into her room or resolve the issue. For about 30 minutes as the banging went on, I rang the reception again and again, on multiple numbers from multiple phones and had no response. There’s supposed to be 24 hour support, but we felt absolutely unsupported. Eventually the kicking stopped and we got back to sleep, but this completely ruined our stay, especially ahead of a long drive down to the south of England the next morning. If you decide to stay here, we’d highly recommend bringing earplugs!!

The stay was good overall. We’ve been twice now and I’d say the only issue was trying to get served coffee at breakfast each morning on both visits. We had to chase after a staff member to get some. Otherwise it was a great stay!

This os a beautiful period property with lovely panelled oak in dining room very tudor and in keeping with surroundings. The spa was lovely area to relax The food was exceptional for evening meal .

Hotel is lovely but rooms very dated and not as clean as could be . The staff are fabulous and breakfast amazing . Limited drinks in the bar
