波基普西品質飯店(Quality Inn Poughkeepsie)

Room was clean and a nice size. However, you could hear the people above you every time they moved. Which for some reason was all night. During check in, we arrived to an unoccupied desk. After waiting a couple of minutes, the phone rang. Someone came out to answer the phone and ignored us. They took the reservation of the person on the phone while we waited, despite having arrived before the phone rang. The receptionist should have put them on hold so that we could check in first.

The motel is in a great location. The room had a broken coffee maker in it, but it was replaced promptly after notifying staff. The staff were very friendly. Low drawers for clothes storage is not the best choice for all age groups. The sitting chair was uncomfortable for guests with back issues.

The Good - The room was comfortable (and large enough to hold our 2 bikes inside) and the breakfast was about what you expect. The Not So Good - none If you have a second foor room, there is no elevator (we had requested a first floor room for our bikes)

The desk clerk was very friendly and offered us an inside room instead of the outside one which was originally booked. The beds were very comfortable and I really like the weight of the bedding. Breakfast was just okay.

Pro: Friendly staff and clean facility. Con: Scetchy neighborhood and room prices were higher than normal because Comfort Inn takes advantage of the local colleges parents weekend.

Expected much more for $183. Our non-smoking room reeked of tobacco smoke. Front desk said there was nothing they could do…no offer to clean or deodorize. Front desk was surprised it smelled like smoke. Shouldn’t the staff know? The cleaner should inform the manager so the room can be cleaned. Most likely, they knew it smelled like smoke but let it get booked anyway. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

The front desk staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Plus, we met Jeffery Wright and his daughter as they were leaving in the morning! Got to take a photo with him. If a Hollywood actor and his daughter feel safe enough to stay there then it’s good enough for my family.

Quiet, clean room that had been remodeled recently. I appreciated the uncarpeted floors that seem more sanitary. Also appreciated soft sheets and window curtains that closed fully to keep the room dark. A very basic hotel, but totally satisfactory.

We rented 2 rooms..the rooms were hot, the a/c barely works, the toilet bowls are toddler size, beds were tiny and when checking out i was in line behind a welfare resident of this establishment..
