葡萄樹小屋民宿(Vine Cottage)

We have just enjoyed a couple of nights at lime tree cottage, the hostess was delightful so friendly and the welcome was warm. Breakfast was wonderful, our twin room was perfect, clean warm and very comfortable. Love the chickens and thank them for their eggs. We were over joyed to come home to a hot choc sachet and an Easter egg. Thank you Ali and Sam

If what you are looking for is a boring, soulless establishment where every room is the same, like you get in a Holiday Inn, Travelodge or Premier Inn then this is not for you. What you do get is a personal service from a friendly couple who know their stuff and make you very welcome. This is a 350 year old cottage where every room is different but nonetheless exceptionally clean and comfortable. Plus the breakfasts are excellent and cater for all tastes, even non carnivores.

We were very happy with our stay. The accommodation very good , comfortable and clean. The service excellent. Thank Paula for making our visit to Cornwall so very pleasant.

The website for this property requires updating. The main page shows a lounge that is no longer in use and hasn't been since Covid. We were told it was down to flood damage..... we should have been told on the phone when calling to book. Another lounge area is also shown in the conservatory, this no longer exists either. Other photographs were also misleading and very dated. The proximity of the main A390 was the main issue. It is the other side of the fence to the cottage. We stayed on a Sunday night and traffic died down a little 2-4am but otherwise it was like sleeping on the actual road. Trucks, motorbikes and all other vehicles were deafening. Closing the window made no difference. Despite being on Google maps, it is not possible to gage how noisy it actually is here. We hoped the breakfast may go someway to helping us recover from a sleepless night. However, this was not the case. Scrambled eggs done in the microwave were like rubber, which was such a shame as the hens are located behind the property. Soggy bacon, no baked beans served on a cold plate. No choice of bread given when we ordered and only multgrain was provided. Overall, disappointing and we cancelled our second night. We paid in full for both nights. We thought it wise not to argue given the owners deminer towards us.

Wonderful little cottage, the room was gorgeous. Comfortable and warm, all mod cons, en suite bathroom with a fantastic shower. The hosts, Paula and Simon, were so lovely and friendly, made us feel very welcome and at home. Pet friendly, too! The dog loved it, and the gardens were beautiful. Easy access to a lot of the tourist areas, and private parking on site by the cottage. Highly recommended! We will definitely visit again.

We stayed at this lovely cottage B & B for a few days in May. We turned up at short notice, needing a break from the business of selling our house. The cottage is very traditional and just lovely. Paula and Simon made us feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble. We recommend them really highly. If you want a quaint, comfy cottage B & B, this is the place to come.

Lovely comfy place and super close to the Eden Project.

It's a nice old cottage and the owners are friendly and happy to help. You can even take your dog(s) with you. It's in a pretty good spot to reach most places in the County too; obviously some towns will take longer to reach than others! We'll most likely be going back at some point.
