Un bel établissement mal tenu. Propreté douteuse de notre chambre. La piscine inaccessible puisque pleine de déjection d’oiseaux une restauration correct au service approximatif une déco inexistante. Un beau gâchis je vous conseil de passer votre chemin.

Bedding was poor quality as were pillows and mattress. No air conditioning. Fans did the job. Bitten by mosquitoes all night. Place is dirty. Poorly cared for. It has seen better days. Pool dirty. Staff is very nice. They must not be doing well Cooking is awful. Prices for dinner high. Poor quality breakfast and dinner. Price for night’s stay high. Beautiful view and near all the fields.

This is a beautiful property and we had a lovely, very large suite. It had a spacious bathroom with tub & separate shower. We were told the suite had been recently renovated and they certainly did a marvellous job. We enjoyed sitting on our patio overlooking the pool and at the stunning view in the distance and watching and listening to the nesting birds nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful and treated us very well. For our 49th anniversary, they surprised us with cake in the restaurant and then in our room was our favourite wine and flowers. It really touched our hearts to be acknowledged in such a way. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Villa Florencia.

Our time at Villa Florencia was so wonderful! The hotel is beautiful and the staff works diligently to make you feel "at home". Rooms are comfortable and we enjoyed the many places to relax in the outdoors. The food in the restaurant is delicious and we especially loved the traditional Costa Rican breakfast (gallo pinto).

If you want to stay at a place that has amazing views and allows you to enjoy the real aspects of Costa Rica this place is for you. The staff was so friendly and made you feel like you were at home. They allow you to walk the property and answer all your questions about what you discover. Very romantic peaceful place.

We stayed in Villa Florencia for 3 nights to visit Turrialba region on our way to the Caribbean and had a really nice time. The hotel is the typical Costa Rican experience where you live with the nature. It begins with the majestic tree that welcomed us at the reception of the hotel. This one is the host of a colony of Oropendulas birds that were building their hanging nests during our stay. It was an incredible show all days long. The owners and the staffs were really nice and helpful. They helped us organize various activities such as our visit to the Guayabo archeological site with a very nice guide (Karen), who I would recommend. The visit of the Nortico chocolat plantation with Anna-Laura is also a must and was the favorite activity of our kids. Carlos, the gardener of the hotel, nicely gave us a tour of the garden and showed us some of the funny fruits he has planted. Breakfast and food at the restaurant was nice. The restaurant been open air, plan your repellent if you don’t want the mosquitoes to bother you in the evening. Been in the nature also means insects, and we could see plenty different species around, including lovely butterflies that were just outside our balcony. The window of our room had a net to prevent the insect inside. The bedroom was very spacious for the 4 of us. Everything was clean and working fine. The ceiling fan was sufficient for the temperature in April.
