米爾飯店(The Mill Hotel)

Το πιο υπερεκτιμημένο εστιατόριο που έχω επισκεφθεί ποτέ. Η σαλάτα που παραγγείλαμε και κόστιζε €18.50 ήταν κάτω του μετρίου. Παραγείλαμε 2 πέστροφες €24 η μία και πραγματικά η γεύση της θύμιζε σαρδέλα κονσέρβας. Τη μία την πήραμε take away και στο τέλος την πετάξαμε. Τα μακαρόνια με γαρίδες που παρήγγειλα €22.50 ήταν τα χειρότερα που έχω φάει στη ζωή μου. Όσα έφαγα δηλαδή. Οι γαρίδες ήταν μικρές κατεψυγμένες και τα μακαρόνια κολυμπούσαν κυριολεκτικά μέσα στη φρέσκια κρέμα. Απαίσια. Τέλος, 2 ενήλικες και 2 μικρά παιδιά πληρώσαμε €110 πίνοντας μόνο 1 μπουκάλι νερό. €110 για το χειρότερο γεύμα της ζωής μας. Πραγματικά, αν θέλετε να χρεώνετε €25 το πιάτο βρείτε ένα σεφ και ακριβοπληρώστε τον. Μην εκμεταλλεύεστε τον κόσμο λόγω της καλής σας τοποθεσίας. Κρίμα είναι.

We spent 3 nights here as part of a two week holiday in Cyprus. I'm so glad we took time away from the coast to visit the mountains and see a different side to the island. The hotel is a family run business and both the food and the accommodation were great. Don't be put off by the sombre outside of the hotel - it is a very welcoming and comfortable place. We had a family room with two extra beds added to accommodate all four of us - and it still felt spacious. After walking in the mountains (lots of great trails - ask at reception for a map), the jacuzzi bath was a bit of welcome relaxation. The breakfast buffet was delightful and varied each day. We ate dinner in the hotel on two nights. It was busy on the Sat night - with live music too - so definitely worth booking. I got the impression that people travelled to come here for a treat. The food was a mixture of traditional dishes and wider cuisine (I had a wonderful mushroom risotto one night then a spiced feta dish the next). They were very accommodating when I told them I was vegetarian and offered several options that weren't on the main menu. If I ever return to Cyprus, I would come here again.

An absolutely excellent hotel midway up the Troodos mountains. It is an excellent base for viewing the local villages in the area. The premier rooms were very large with all amenities that one would expect of a hotel of this quality. It is well worth considering going out of season as it is excellent value for money. There is a wide choice of food for breakfast and dinner in the evening at the hotel is excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable stay at a fantastic hotel.

There was a friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was on the 2nd floor, the same level as the reception. The room was huge, with a lovely big bed, seating areas, a balcony, lots of storage, good lighting, TV with satellite channels, a safe, kettle and hairdryer. The bathroom was big with a jacuzzi bath and nice toiletries provided. Basically there was everything you could need. The hotel is in a beautiful building and has lovely views over the river. It's located in the centre of the village and had a car park. There's a lift up to the 3rd floor restaurant where we had dinner in the first evening. The food was very good, the trout was beautifully cooked and presented, and there was a nice selection of Cypriot wines. The service was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was table service and was extremely generous with cold cuts and cheese, toast and breads, a choice of cereals and cooked options. The food was excellent and so was the service. We had a problem with the WiFi on the second day as it was very weak, but this is only a slight ******. We really liked the style of the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Understated, location relevant decor, charming staff, good food. Lovely to hear the rushing stream all night from our balcony. We would have the same room again if we came back. (Not sure I want to tell everyone which one...in case it is not available next time) A short walk from the medieval street of Kakopetria.

The Mill Hotel seemed promising based on reviews I saw before booking. However it fell short of my expectations. For the price, I expected excellent service. Instead, I found the staff to be unhelpful. This was a drastic contrast to the warm welcome I found at every other stop in Cyprus. I would not stay again, obviously, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone else.

Dirty place, old disgusting furniture, aggressive personnel, the worst experience we ever had. The owner of the hotel aggressive, not following the law, saying that Cyprus is not Europe, that he is the god here and asking people he doesn’t like to leave.

Very nice hotel. Our room was lovely. Traditional decor. Very big with a balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast was nice, a reasonable selection. Staff all friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back
