It's a shame I have to write this negative review as the hotel itself is very nice, as are many of the staff, however, the manager Simon was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When we arrived for our Christmas holiday we were told that our booking was for a month prior, and not December, classed as a no show. Despite showing undeniable evidence of the booking being made for December, Simon was aggressive in saying there was nothing they could do, insinuating we were trying to be inappropriate in raising the issue. Who would book a hotel room for a month prior with confirmation and then visit a month later pretending they booked for this date? - It's a ridiculous accusation to make and made us very uncomfortable. Despite showing the evidence, we were coerced into paying twice for the booking we had already paid in full for. I am currently fighting this charge, with further rude and aggressive responses from Simon in them rejecting the dispute. I would avoid this hotel as all costs as the service level we received was appalling in response to this situation, and it could not have been handled any worse in making us feel responsible for the issues, implying we were stupid for missing our booking date despite having no idea of this supposed different date, as apposed to finding an amicable resolution in good faith at the time. The rooms were nice and modern, however, one of the rooms had an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning and the second room had a cracked sink and floor tiles. Awful experience, AVOID.
