The room we were moved too was large, bright and clean although not one of the newer rooms. It had a good view over the gardens and in the distance you could see the water. The food was excellent and thanks to Anka(think this is right) the restaurant was well run. The entertainment we only went too on last night of our stay was reasonable on that night. However, the bar drinks were expensive. Over thirteen pounds for two glasses of wine. Not many guests were drinking in the bar, lower the prices and they will. Good value overall for the money paid. This has been a positive review, but when we first arrived we were shown to a tiny room on the third floor, barely big enough for one person, let alone two. There was no space to put anything and nowhere to even put your suitcase. I went to reception and requested a move to another room. The Manager handled this professionally and with a smile, and we then went to another room on the first floor. However, I do find it sad that in the 21st century women either on their own or with a friend are treated differently. There is no way a couple (male and female) would have been put in that room.Additionally it had scaffolding all around it. Hotel needs to treat all their guests equally.
