graet hotel staff are very helpful room very clean & tidy dining room very clean waitress very good. 5 minute walk to town or beach will be going back agaian on wednsday there is a line dance class with domanic who is also the alfa tour briver he is excellent at both jobs

Rooms were ok, one or two items could do with replacing. Our bath had a rusty chip out of it and the washbasin was cracked. A tight squeeze to reach the toilet for anyone a bit overweight, fortunately we were not. One item missing from the bathrooms was a non slip bath mat which we were later informed had to be requested from reception, highly unusual as they have always been supplied as standard everywhere else we have stayed. Food in the restaurant was excellent and served by efficient and friendly staff. Evening entertainment was provided and was of a very good standard, there was also bingo if thats what you enjoy. Good wifi was available throughout the hotel and provided free of charge.

We stayed here for three nights on a Mystery Trip with DJ Thomas. The price of the holiday was under £200 so we weren't expecting much but hoped that the rooms would be clean and the food edible. Everything far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is clean and tidy and the decor is of a decent standard. Our rooms were basic - think Travelodge or Days standard - but had good beds, good sized TV, tea & coffee and a good ensuite. Everything was spotless. The only toiletries provided was a small bar of soap but shampoo/body wash was available from reception. Food was good with three courses plus tea & coffee. Portions were generous and we left feeling full. Breakfast was a good choice of cereals and fruit followed by various cooked options and toast, tea or coffee. Service was excellent, efficient, quick and polite. The younger servers have been very well trained and they are among the best I have ever seen. As I was a waiter many years ago I pay special attention to service and I was very impressed. Nicola, Thomas & Linda are a credit to the hotel along with the rest of the team. Every member of staff that we met during our stay was helpful and polite and it really made our stay memorable. The Metropole may not be The Ritz but what it does it does very well. It knows it's customer and the service it provides ticks all boxes. Very impressed.
