We loved this place, from the warm welcome from the owners, the quiet spacious room leading out to a sun terrace, the fabulous breakfast, everything was there as well as proximity to good restaurants and also adequate parking, what more could you want?

Wow what a gem of a place immaculately clean with perfect parking and the most amazing breakfast. The most welcoming hosts Helen and Peter it’s a lovely a boutique style bed and breakfast only a 5 minute walk from the harbour front deserves its 5 stars x

Everything you could wish to be done is already done Peter and Helen are absolute perfect hosts, attentive courteous and respectful a pleasure to stay with them in the Somerville, we would not stay anywhere else. They even have parking for everyone We cannot praise them enough for all they do Many Thanks

The hosts were two of the nicest people. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was simply superb . The room was pleasant and we enjoyed our short stay immensely. Would we stay again? Oh Yes! The situation is excellent with ample, safe parking. The communal lounge was very welcome at the end of a long journey. All in all - Wonderful!

The location is slightly outside town with a short walk into the main area. The accomodation is excellent from standard rooms to beautiful suites tastefully decorated. They are kept exceptionally clean and serviced daily. There are numerous extra services such as shoe cleaning machine and umbrellas to cope with British weather (which came in handy on one day). Peter and Helen are very friendly and also very professional and knowledgeable both in terms of location (such as restaurants) and also what it takes to make ones stay as pleasurable as possible. Helen is also an excellent baker and provides lovely cakes to try daily (free of charge). Breakfast! What can I say? It was comprehensive with hams cheeses home made granola fruit jams yoghurt fresh bread other cereals and if you still have room, freshly cooked to order,full English, omelette etc, all locally sourced exceptional quality. In terms of value for money the Somerville, in my opinion is unbeatable and I cannot wait to return.

Amazing stay at the Somerville! Peter and Helen have thought about every single detail and more! A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, home from home feeling but in luxury. We stayed in the “Somerville suite” it had a roll top bath with a telly which was lovely. Breakfast absolutely lived up the 5 star award it’s been given. Extremely happy with our stay and most definitely will be visiting again.
