I booked a Creators Queen room as a gold member. No upgrade but I was able to get late checkout. On check in I received a cookie and was notified that I could get beverages such as coffee at the front desk which was a pleasant surprise. I’m sorry but I must be honest in my review that the room itself was quite small. Technically more spacious than a local Japanese business hotel, perhaps, but not much more. I do not expect a huge room from the Courtyard brand and admittedly I booked on a heavily discounted rate. For that reason, I will rate my experience as average however if I had paid full rack rate for the rooms this hotel has I would have found the situation unacceptable. I’m quite surprised to see the other reviews here touting value. Have they stayed in Tokyo or most hotels before? When it comes to Marriott, for just a bit more per night you can stay somewhere like the Westin or the Mesm, Autograph Collection with spacious rooms and much nicer amenities. Perhaps it’s the location but the average nightly price does not make sense to me considering the local business hotel competition. The hotel itself is quite small. It is 4 floors high with the lobby on the top floor, fitness room on floor 3, rooms on floor 2, and the restaurant and entrance on floor 1. What I can say is great is, of course, the location. The hotel is about 2 blocks from Tokyo station which is likely the most prestigious station in Japan. The hotel is actually right next to Kyobashi station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line which I would actually suggest over JR as it is closer. I try to give every hotel I stay at a fair shake and enjoy it for what it is. As I stated previously, for the special rate I paid I had an acceptable experience. However, after research, if I had paid the regular rate for this hotel I would have been beside myself. The average price paid vs value received is simply not there when you consider the other options in Tokyo both budget and upscale. It is all for the location? Otherwise I honestly struggle for a reason to desire staying at this particular Courtyard.

Location close to Tokyo station and Ginza Metro line are very convenient and make exploring the city easy. The staff are very accommodating and we loved having coffee available 24 hrs a day. As a platinum member, there were also complimentary appetizers in the evening, and self service beer, wine and assorted non alcoholic beverages available anytime. The only drawback of the hotel are the small rooms, but really our upgraded room was fine. The restaurant downstairs is adequate, the breakfast is more basic than other properties, but it was fine.
We had a pleasant stay at the Courtyard Tokyo Station. The rooms were a nice size, my travel companion was 6'3" and was comfortable in the room. The hotel was clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. It is located within walking distance of the Tourist Information Center, several subway stations, and the Bullet Train,
