Inn at Port NAN Gael

Un hotel que sin pretender ser de lujo tiene todo lo necesario para tener una estadía super agradable. Su ubicación permite tener una vista privilegiada a la naturaleza que invita a fumar un buen habano o tomar una copa en las mesas del parque que tiene al frente. La limpieza y la cordialidad de la gente harán mejor tus días. Cenamos en el restaurante y fue muy buena la experiencia.

What an excellent jewel of a hotel! The hospitality is outstanding! The cleanliness, room standard and importantly customer care, would ensure that we will return again! Thank you so much! The manager even offered to help us with transportation - if the bus hadn’t arrived!

We had three evening meals at Port Nan Gael whilst we were holidaying on Mull . The food was delicious, the venison burgers were very tasty, and the beer was good (Belhaven). The staff were always happy to help and friendly. We would recommend that you book as it can get quite busy in the evenings. We will definitely be back next time we are on Mull

We stayed one night in room no. 1 on the ground floor, which was very comfortable with a great view onto the loch. We thought it could have been a bit noisy if the bar had been busy late into the evening, but it was actually fine and we were not disturbed at all. As mentioned by others the breakfast basket is plenty for a packed lunch (or two!). We had inadvertently ordered two and the manager refunded the cost to us. The DIY breakfast was a bit slow, as only one person can easily use the toaster/coffee machine at a time. It has a great location, with a peaceful lochside setting and nice (gentle!) walks along the shore. It has a large popular camping area too. We enjoyed our burgers in the garden, generous portions and friendly service.

We stayed here so we could get the ferry over to Iona for the day. It’s just about the only non-self-catering accommodation choice in that area. We reckon we had the best room at the Inn - number 7 - view over the loch but still quiet. What made this stay exceptional was the friendly staff from the manager Sarah on down. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast is self-service but they have this well-organised. We ordered the additional basket of goodies and had enough for lunch as well. We had a brilliant couple of nights and would highly reccomend it.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here on the way back from a visit to Iona. The staff were extremely welconing, the food was delicious, and the portions were huge! And there are lovely views from the restaurant window across the loch to the mountains beyond. We will definitely visit again next time we are on Mull,

Wonderful hotel. Well appointed room with super comfortable bed. Lots of hooks in the bathroom, which most hotels fail to find necessary. Excellent food. Staff attentive, informative, friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay special. Well stocked bar. Highly recommend.

We were camping in a motorhome on the campsite next to this pub. For such a remote place this was a lifesaver for us to have a few drinks and lovely meal, Judith the manager was fantastic and was a great help with our dog Charlie, even taking him for a walk outside so we could eat in peace, as we were the only ones in at the time, which believe me has never happened before. Thank you for such nice hospitality and making our visit to Mull even better.

Recent stay on Mull, which was amazing, however many of the eateries are closed for the season. Port Nan Gael was a great stop on our way back to the cottage- hearty steak pie for one of us and the veggie option for the other. Very friendly with a roaring fire plus an amazing view over the loch while the light is still there!
