海邊花園度假村(Seaside Garden Retreat Accommodation)

Our skate team needed overnight accommodation close to Erina Ice Arena for a competition. The property is fine for a cheap bed, but could use a good clean and some attention to detail and basic amenities. The desk was unattended when we arrived mid afternoon, but when we rang the number a lady came trotting out to check us in. She was very helpful and friendly, but fairly clueless - turned out to be a friend of the owner helping out while they were on holiday. Grounds were very nice, and the area is quiet. Rooms were fine - beds and pillows good, window coverings dark enough. However, the details let them down. The fan light in the bathroom can be heard from the next room , and sounds like it is going to rattle out of the ceiling. The cleaning is clearly perfunctory - layers of dirt on flat surfaces like power-point panels, and along carpet edges and skirting. There is no fridge. There IS a kettle, however the power cord does not reach the power point, and we had to go and beg for a cup and saucer to go with the random handful of teabags and sugar sachets thrown in a dish. Of more concern is the fire fighting equipment - a mini fire extinguisher tucked in a corner out of sight in the corridor (though every room does have outside access for quick exit). Overall good value for a cheap stay when all you need is a bed for the night, but needs a good clean.

Waited at reception for over 15 minutes to be served at 4.15 pm. Room not ready at 4.30pm - had to wait another 15 minutes . Poor state of facilities - no bed lights, soap holder in shower broken, fire detector covered up with a plastic bag! , no toilet paper , cupboard door broken . Not recommended .

Flinke mennesker men meget slidt. Restaurant lukket på Australian Day. Ikke meget omtale af morgenmad og ingen som spiste der, sagde ejeren.

I liked the friendly face on arrival and the location was great. There was plenty of hot water for a shower. My only dislike was the fact that we only had three days there. If we were in the area again we will stay there again. The restaurant attached is nice and the food was really good and plentiful. The room we stayed in had no microwave which is a real oversight in these days for people on the move.

I stayed a night at the pacific garden hotel with my wife and our dog. The room was great, with a little courtyard for our dog and a big grass area behind it to throw the ball. The owner was very helpful and friendly and were overall very happy with our stay.

Good value for a comfortable bed for one-two nights. The owner is very accommodating. We like to take our own pillows. Lovely and quiet when we stayed on a Monday night. The price is very reasonable. Will stay again - next time will be our 3rd stay.

This is an older property that is being progressively restored and improved. We have stayed multiple times, and it gets better every time.

Ideal half way location from Melbourne to Gold Coast. So convenient being pet friendly and not having to drive anywhere for dinner. Yummy Chinese food. Thank you.

Love that they have rooms for pets and the owner was so lovely upon check in
