費爾蒙特蘭花飯店(Fairmont Orchid)

ゴルフがメインだったのでMauna laniに車で5分のうえ割引料金だったのがうれしい。帰るといつもハワイアンのライブ演奏がロビーで聞けるのが良かった。炉端焼きや寿司などを食べられるレストランが二つあったのが便利。朝食を買えるスタバの様なカフェがホテル内にあるとなお良かった。部屋のフロアスタンドが故障していた。部屋の清掃・アメニティー交換などスタッフにより差があった。

This was our 1st family vacation in 5 years partly because of Covid and we had a wonderful time - the restaurants at the hotel are excellent, everything was fresh and delicious; the staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms are spacious and kept very clean; the grounds and beach are beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife (sea turtles, fish, eels, crabs, geckos and birds). Location wise it was easy to get to/from the airport, Hilo and the Volcanos National Park as well as eat at restaurants at other resorts. We were supposed to go to Maui but changed our plans because of the fires there. This was an exceptional 2nd choice.

Beautiful resort to end a 10 day trip to the Big Island with more rustic and adventurous stays prior. We and our friends family both got upgraded to huge ocean front suite and it is very luxurious. Grounds are beautiful as is shallow beach cove right by the pool for kids. Snorkeling off the beach is quite good for how easy it is. Beach and pool shacks provide free water and sunscreen. Food at both the casual poolside restaurant and high end Browns are both really good and pricing not too much more than in Kona town given an upscale resort and captured audience. Overall very nice stay to relax at the end of a trip.

The staff at all the dining areas were excellent- attentive, helpful. The pool area was nice, and it was great that there was an adult only section. It would be great if there were an adult hot tub- it seemed more like a kiddie pool with all the children in it. The person I dealt with at reception was not helpful, but pretty much everyone else we encountered was pleasant, making for an overall good experience.

5th time here. Resort setting is phenomenal. Small beach and nice pool with a lot of sections to find your own spot. 2 gripes. Our king bed was horrible and I can usually sleep anywhere no problems. It had a large ridge in the middle and the springs were shot. Had it replaced and same issue on the replacement.

The overall Mauni Lani area is fabulous! Dining options are limited though in this area. The Fairmont Orchid is starting to feel ‘tired’ and will need some renovating in the near future. The beach and coast in this section of the Kohala coastline is spectacular though!

Our family stay at the Fairmont Orchid was perfect. Clean, quiet room in a gorgeous setting was just what we were hoping for. Our days started with complimentary coffee at sunrise. Next it was the most amazing breakfast in a beautiful outdoor setting. The macadamia banana topped pancakes with fresh whipped cream and coconut syrup was dreamy! Our days included time at the pool (plenty of available seating with umbrellas), snorkeling in the hotel’s lagoon, a great poolside lunch followed by a refreshing cold towel and strawberry ice pop distributed to everyone at the pool. The sunsets were tremendous and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant by the beach was a special treat. We ate there two nights because it was so good. The hotel even constructed a spotlight aimed on the ocean. The light attracted giant manta rays which were easy to spot. During our stay we used the complimentary bicycles to tour the local area and we enjoyed a private, sunrise canoe outing with two Fairmont guides in our six seat canoe. We finished the evenings in the terrace bar listening to local Hawaiian artists playing guitar and singing both pop and Hawaiian songs. Special shout out for the evening torch lighting ceremony and the cold filtered water dispensers located throughout the hotel. Reusable souvenir water bottles were provided as an environmentally friendly gift. Finally, the genuine kindness shared by every employee who crossed our paths really spread the “aloha” spirit.”
