Getting to Carlton was not pleasant at all. They were wrong about the type of room I booked (two twin beds), even though I showed them the original booking which had two beds.
We were then transferred three times to different rooms, when the process took an hour and a half. At the end the reception manager decided to upgrade us to a better room, after again wanting us to wait 40 minutes.
The place is clean, and the staff is kind, especially the staff at the pool. But the pool is very small, and there are not enough beds for guests.
The pillows in the beds need to be replaced urgently. One pillow is as thick and hard as a log, and the other is small, and it flattens completely to bed height. The sleep in the place is terrible, although the mattress is reasonable.
And another note: your breakfast looks very rich, but mostly not fresh. A hotel that claims to be 5 stars, it is advisable to take care of fresh goods at breakfast! Some of the cherry tomatoes were rotten, as were the leaves of the salad. The bread was certainly not fresh, and the scrambled egg you served was so awful that my daughter and I had to spit it out right away.
And no, I'm not a disgruntled customer, and I happen to be a chef at the Hilton so I pretty much know a thing or two about food freshness. And for the most part the food you serve is not fresh.
Not a 5 star hotel. Maybe 3 stars. So at least they should take a price according to what they give, and not a price so expensive, without a fair return.
