Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in dieser ausgezeichneten, wundervollen und sehr persönlich geführten Lodge. Die Gastgeber Gary und Shirley sind so herzlich und wir haben uns sofort wie Zuhause gefühlt. Das ganze Team macht einen super Job. Chris macht die besten Eggs Benedict und Victoria kunstvolle Cappuccinos.

Der Aufenthalt in der Lake Taupō Lodge bei Gary und Shirley und ihrem Team war eines der Highlights unseres Aufenthaltes auf der Nordinsel Neuseelands. Die von Frank Lloyd Wright inspirierte Lodge, der herrliche Blick von unserem Zimmer und der spektakulär schöne Garten machten den Aufenthalt zu einem Erlebnis. Die Gastfreundschaft von Gary, Shirley und dem Team rundeten alles noch positiv ab. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Lake Taupo Lodge is a beautiful place with beautiful views of the lake, the gardens are worth wondering around. Gary and Shirley are great hosts and Chris cooks amazing breakfast and canapés for drinks after 5 o’clock. The room was spacious and spotless. Would recommend staying at the Lake Taupo Lodge.

This small lodge was an outstanding place with comfortable beautiful rooms with all the amenities! The gardens were perfectly manicured and the views were exceptional. Gary was a fantastic host who took great care of us. Chris was a wonderful chef! It has been my experience that smaller hotels are the best and this is a perfect example

Sehr stylische Location … am lake Taupo. wunderschöner toll angelegter Garten und phänomenaler Blick auf den Lake Taupō. Tolle Gastgeber haben uns umsorgt. Es gab immer einen Aperitif und das Frühstück wurde frisch und reichlich zubereitet.

I booked this from the internet looking at available photos. It showed a double ensuite room with a desk and chair and a double or queen bed and bedside tables. When we got there it’s a lot bigger complex than we thought but the room we had booked was like a broom closet with a bed in it! It was so small there was no where to put your suitcase so I had to unpack what we needed from the bed and then do the suitcase up again and stand it in front of the window. No room for a second case or a desk or chair and only enough room for one bedside cabinet. No shelves to put anything on and you had to squeeze past the TV which was hung on the wall. The ensuite was the same no shelves to put anything on. We had to put our other luggage in the bathroom under the basin. We also booked here as it advertises an onsite restaurant but it was closed for a private function. Definitely not as shown on the *********** site and we would stay here again. Thankfully we had only booked for one night. But you could not fault the room on its cleanliness and the staff were pleasant.
