維洛德奧羅飯店(Hotel Vello d'Oro)

Veldig bra beliggenhet, litt høyt oppe med god utsikt. Vi hadde en grei terrasse (veranda) med plass til både solseng og to sitteplasser. Veldig fin bar øverst på hotellet med kjempeutsikt både til havet og Etna. Relativ enkel standard på rommet, og beskjedent med utvalg ved frokosten. I sum et bra hotell med flott beliggenhet.

Had a great stay at the hotel Vello D’Oro found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a good outside space overlooking Taormina. Roof top bar has spectacular views of the town and Mount Etna. Great location and loved the magic door from the hotel giving access to the Main Street with the many restaurants and bars. There is a half decent breakfast that was plentiful for us. All in all a great hotel a tad dated but great location, friendly, clean and comfortable.

This hotel was in an excellent location for exploring Taormina, especially being able to access the back door which led right out to the Corso Umberto! Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English ,which was helpful to us. Our room was a good size with plenty of storage and the adjoins bathroom was quaint, although the shower was a bit dated. Everything was very clean and housekeeping was efficient. The little balcony overlooked the sea in the distance and although we could hear music from local bars and restaurants it wasn’t invasive. The buffet breakfast was good and plentiful. The only disappointing thing was the airport shuttle which was on the website at €50 each way. Staff were amazed at this price when we showed them and we had to pay €140 for a private taxi.

L'hotel è ha due ingressi di cui uno a monte di una scalinata che termina proprio nel centro storico. Bellissima la vista dai balconcini. Non adatto a chi cerca il lusso: sa decisamente di anni 70, la struttura è ben tenuta ma andrebbe senz'altro rinnovata. Prezzi ragionevoli, considerando il contesto.

The hotel was lovely….we had two amazing staff that took care of us. Martina and Samantha were friendly and went above and beyond! They made our stay memorable!! The views from the rooms were incredible. The nearby restaurants, entertainment, shopping and cultural areas are not to be missed. The location is very convenient to everything. Bello bello bello❤️

海の見えるホテル希望で予約しました。 総合的には満足です。 泊まるなら2回はだめです。3階か4階に部屋を取らないと下のレストランの音楽はとてもうるさいです。シャッターを閉めても聞こえてきます。しかし上の階は静かです。 そのことだけ注意して、このホテルをお勧めします

Arredamento stravecchio, mobili antichissimi e statue ovunque che ad entrarci al buio sembra di stare in un film horror. La prima camera, la 209, aveva una squadra di formiche nel bagno, la seconda i vetri della doccia e della scrivania spaccati. Hotel anni ‘70, coi muri sporchi, armadi e porte scheggiate, tutto molto molto vecchio e con una puzza di umidità che non vi dico. Scarsissima colazione “internazionale”. Cornetto vuoto, due crostate, un plum-cake. Roba salata vecchia. Il condizionatore non ha il telecomando, quindi per spegnerlo di notte serve necessariamente alzarsi e spegnerlo dal quadro generale. Non sto a descrivere il bagno, potete immaginare da soli. 10 euro al giorno per quel che loro chiamano “parcheggio” che non è nient’altro che una vietta strettissima senza uscita in cui si ha difficoltà a fare manovra, tant’è che ho trovato la mia auto graffiata dopo un solo giorno! 220 euro per 2 notti, ovviamente pagati in anticipo, soldi assolutamente buttati. 3 punti a favore: la centralissima posizione dell’hotel, a due passi da piazza Duomo; la terrazza, con una vista davvero spettacolare; la gentilezza, la cortesia e la disponibilità di Daniele in reception. NON VENITE QUI! NON BUTTATE I VOSTRI SOLDI ED IL VOSTRO TEMPO! Mi raccomando!

Cose positive La posizione super centrale e la vista spettacolare dalla terrazza bar. Poi nulla più Parto subito dicendo che se vendi camere stile tugurio, per camere standard, fuori da Booking perché le piazzi settimane prima non fate gli scortesi! 200 euro per due notti non sono pochi spiccioli! Appena arrivati ti accolgono con una finta cordialità e appena leggono camera standard sono diventati molto scortesi. La stanza pronta solo dopo le 14, è la camera della servitù praticamente. Noi eravamo arrivati alle 11:30 e neanche dire accomodatevi un attimo (visto il gran caldo), rinfrescatevi… niente. Documenti firma sulla privacy e via cacciati La camera è stata uno shock: Un letto unito di due lettini senza comodini e con un armadio anni 80 tutto sgangherato! Letto incastrato nel muro con due lumetti sopra la testa. Anta di un armadio bloccato da un tavolaccio stile galera, rotto sotto e vecchio, che stringe quel poco di camera. Nemmeno il cestino della spazzatura nella camera e un terrazzino con due sedie vecchie dell’epoca della guerra. Passiamo al bagno. Porta a soffietto trasparente. Doccia con tendina anni 70 come paravento e udite udite nel 2023 a Taormina non a Parigi…. Senza bidet! Si proprio così: senza bidet! Vergognoso. Nessun appendiabiti e asciugamani messi nella doccia e una striscia di marmo sopra il lavandino per appoggiare qualcosa, e poi le piastrelle firmate Trussardi ma del 1965 forse… per farti fesso? Colazione ni… niente di che cornetti buoni ma torte sicuramente di scarsa qualità (sembravano prese al discount), così come le marmellate nei dispenser e le bustine di tisane vecchie e stravecchie che ne ho aperte tre… erano secche tanto la stagionatura 🤣🤣🤣 Due statue e tre consolle stile impero non fanno un albergo a tre stelle serve ben altro! Infine la pulizia. Primo giorno normale poi il secondo giorno non hanno neanche spazzato le briciole che erano cadute mangiando dei biscotti in camera! Trovate lì dove erano… Bocciato e Booking non può essere esente da colpe sapendo cosa viene dato ai clienti… camere oscene con l’hotel che aveva camere libere che poteva offrirci propio ad angolo con la 305 la stanza degli orrori

The hotel has good bones and in its day must have been rather grand. Today it is a well-located three star solution though tired. Central air, off for the season, left us struggling to be comfortable.
