Superbe hôtel. Idéal pour se détendre en famille.

This is so far my favorite Hilton – and I’ve been to quite a few! I was looking for a calm, relaxing vacation, where I could read, reflect, exercise, sleep and relax… and I got all of it here. Rabia at reception welcomed me warmly and gave me a tour of the property, which she said was built about one year earlier. She gave me an upgrade to a beautiful room with a terrace, facing the pool and ocean beyond. Everything is very new, modern and clean. (Housekeeping did a meticulous job of cleaning the room). Breakfast was soooo delicious – from the omelette station to the freshly squeezed juice (carrot, pineapple, apple, orange…), cappuccinos and fresh baked goods. I would eat so much, I’d skip lunch (and sometimes dinner). The hotel staff, who were all very friendly, remembered my orders since I stayed for quite a few days – it felt like I was at my neighborhood café! Dinner is offered at the hotel as well – there are options for seafood, tagine, etc. with dishes and sides ranging in price from approximately $7 to $20. The gym was well equipped (cardio, weights, a scale, towels, water, etc) and spacious. Most days I had it all to myself. There are several pools (4 outside, I believe, and 1 indoor, which is heated). I saw only one or two people swimming the whole time I was there. (The staff told me I came at a quiet time of year, so I was lucky.) The grounds are also beautiful. Just out the back gate, (which is manned by security), is the promenade and beach. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to Taghazout. I felt very safe. One day there was quite a bit of noise from renovations to the pool, and when I raised it with the front desk, they offered me a complimentary deep tissue massage in return. (There’s an adjoining spa and hammam. My massage was fabulous.) The renovation noise also diminished over the subsequent days. Overall, a place that I would love to visit again.

Rarement je n'ai trouvé le séjour dans un hotel aussi long ni rédigé un avis alors que je suis encore à l'hotel. Tout paraissait pourtant idyllique sur le papier. J'ai organisé mon arrivée avec la réception en spécifiant que je demandais une chambre au calme et loin du beach-club, échanges très réactifs mais peu constructifs car on aurait pu me répondre que le Calypso est fermé et on m'a attribué une chambre côté piscine et collée aux restaurants, face à l'ascenseur. Bingo!!! Pour qui recherche le calme il n'y a pas mieux!!! Je précise également que la musique des espaces communs (piscine ou restaurant) reste allumée jour et nuit - j'ai voulu le signaler à la réception un soir, en vain car personne ne répond au tel. La restauration....j'ai diné 2x sur place (je n'ai pas été convaincue par l'Anaw ni par le buffet du Ftour) puis j'ai décidé d'aller dîner au Fairmont où la cuisine est excellente et le cadre apaisant. Tous les soirs en cette période de Ramadan des groupes extérieurs viennent pour le Ftour, les gens se ruent sur les buffets, dans un brouhaha épouvantable tant le restaurant est trop petit pour accueuillir autant de monde. Les plats étaient sans doute bons mais froids - je suis arrivée 15 min après l'ouverture, les 3/4 des plats étaient vides. Beaucoup de gachis alimentaires, les gens se servent 4-5 assiettes qui débordent puis on jette, on jette beaucoup de nourriture dans un pays où la pauvreté est toujours présente. J'ai été écoeurée. Le petit-déjeuner est bon, copieux et varié mais là pareil il y a une ambiance survoltée, ça crie, ça court partout, on est loin, très loin de l'ambiance calme et zen annoncée par certains contributeurs. En allant plus tôt au buffet c'est mieux mais toujours bruyant ( musique trop forte certains matins). J'ai pu dîner au buffet le dernier soir alors que j'avais prévu de retourner au Fairmont et là..chance peu de monde, buffet très copieux et bon - il faut le souligner. Je trouve qu' il y a un réel manque de communication entre les personnels et les clients, c'est par hasard que j'ai découvert une promo au spa et l'existence de cours avec un coach. Idem pour la restauration, qu'est-ce qui est ouvert, quelle formule...J'ai profité de cours d'aqua-gym ( avec Habib, très bien) individuel à la piscine du spa qui est très agréable. Les soins du spa sont très bien, l'équipe est accueillante et très agréable. L'espace piscine pourrait être bien mais c'est trop minéral pour moi, des travaux durant mon séjour ( carrelage, scieuse...) et enfin la plage privée est ridicule - elle a été réinstallée le jour de mon départ, on me dit que c'est transitoire. Je quitte l'hotel sans regret, un peu déçue de mon choix - j'avais hésité avec le Sofitel et l'Hyatt Regency - je ne reviendrai sans doute plus au Hilton. Dommage cet hotel a sans doute de beaux atouts mais il manque clairement de management. A noter le personnel est sympa et fait de son mieux, chambre confortable et propre. Quel dommage!

Service nul !! Attente pour chaque demande … Rien dans la salle de bain à part du savon pour les mains , toujours rien après 3 demandes … Plage sale … Bref pas digne du nom et de la réputation Hilton , puis surtout pour le prix de la nuitée ! Prochaine fois j’irai chez les voisins ! NB : c’est vraiment très rare que je fasse ce genre de commentaire mais la c’est trop !

This is by far the oddest hotel experience of my life. The Hilton Tagazhoute is by far the nicest Hilton I've ever not stayed in, or certainly not completed a stay in. We had rented a lovely apartment almost next to the hotel and every day we went to either the beautiful Calypso club or the main hotel restaurants. Looking back through my credit card statement it was three lunches, one amazing dinner and three 'just for drinks & snacks' visits. We'd made friends with the staff, my son had been invited to surf with the waiters and we'd been treated like friends by everyone. As a treat for my last night I decided to book a room using some Hilton points. The idea was to enjoy the hotel properly and enjoy the room for a comfortable nights sleep. All going to plan and the hotel welcomed me even at 12.30...a bit cheeky, but I was genuinely excited to make the most of it. My room was amazing, sea view, super comfy bed and to top it all I was invited to a buffet on the terrace by the team. It started to go super weird about 2 hrs later when my son (who had been in the hotel 4-5 times already) came through the beach entrance and was pursued by a pretty grumpy looking security guard. He gesticulated and shouted that we must leave as we weren't guests and couldn't use the pool. An understandable mistake and it was easily rectified when I showed him my room key. All calm again. We went up to my room and at five o'clock we were treated to complimentary drinks in the bar, so far so amazing. We went out for dinner about a mile away and at some point I recall hearing some pretty loud music. I was hoping it was nowhere near the hotel but on arriving back it was obvious it was in the hotel grounds, full club music, light show, dancing. For additional context the Hilton is not a beach club vibe hotel and with average rates of over $250 a night not likely to attract a beach club crowd. We had some drinks hoping that as advertised the club would close at 11pm. By 11.30 it had only become louder and I knew I wasn't going get any sleep. At this stage I asked my son to wait whilst I grabbed my case. At this point the same security guard ran across the hotel lobby shouting at us to 'go to reception, go to reception' not entirely sure why. I packed my case and by the time I'd made it to reception there were 2 other guests complaining about the music. They were offered rooms on the other side of the hotel not overlooking Calypso where the music was coming from. It's now well after midnight and when I asked to check out I was told I couldn't and must either pay or get a different room. A bit of a stand off ensued with a further 2 guests joining the queue to complain. Finally my room was refunded and I had to walk back in the dark to our apartment, where, yes, ironically I could still hear the music! This has to be the oddest experience of my numerous Hilton stays. Still no idea what had rattled the security guard so much that he was so hostile
