I used to stay here when it was in its former glory before Crystalbrook purchased the resort. It has declined considerably. The decor is no longer beautiful, it’s showing signs of lacking maintenance and its overall appearance is vastly different from what it was. The food is disgusting. Not one meal was nice and the menu is very limited and boring. They have now opened a children’s play room right next to the dining area. Kids run back and forth past your table, as kids they are they don’t appreciate tranquility. The staff are disengaged and the cocktails a very below par to what you used to receive. Don’t stay here, go to Elements. I will never return predominantly because I knew this place when it was incredible. It no longer presents as it used too. I’m so disappointed to see such a beautiful resort left to became a shadow of its former glory.

I have been here several times and the previous visits were inevitably a dissapoin**ent. This time however, almost everything went right. The food in the restaurant was sublime; the service throughout friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delightful, sat on the veranda under the gas heaters contemplating the beautiful surroundings. The only negative was that I could not connect to my phone by Chromecast as it kept thinking I was in Squiggly Gum, which apparently is a meeting room in the main resort. It was disappointing that what seemed to be a minor issue could not be resolved and was left unresolved without me being updated. Watching my new series on an iPad was definitely not the same, but technology often has the upper hand. It was a minor point.

Very impressed with the room and facilities. Although I was very disappointed that at the front desk they state that late checkout is available for extra $, but when I requested this, they said I cannot have late checkout as ‘they are fully booked’; I found that hard to believe, as I had a Sunday checkout (very rare for people to check in on a Sunday, and upon checking availability of the room on their website for that day, they were not fully booked out at all? Food variety is extremely limited & expensive, even less variety for their room service menu; literally only burgers, chips and calamari that costs $30?!

We relaxed as soon as we arrived. The rainforest location is so special. Our rainforest lodge was perfect and the sunroom surrounded by trees was such a sanctuary. We found the hugging (healing tree) on the rainforest walk and the kids kept on going back for hugs - such good vibes. The kids enjoyed the pool which was shallow - great for our young children. Eleme day spa was a dream - I had the chakra healing massage and really enjoyed the relaxing and immersive experience of the crystals and sound bowls too. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Forest and the staff are really exceptional. Not easy dining with 2 young kids but the staff there were so great with our kids. It's amazing we lasted through the delicious 5 course degustation! A must try with the matching wines. The squid and kingfish were the winners for us. I am so glad I did the morning yoga class (even if it was just once!) looking right into the rainforest - a great start to the day. We can't wait to return!

When you walk into the beautifully appoin**ent cottage, the little extras that were provided made the stay even more pleasant. Had a meal at Leo’s, which was amazing. The decor, staff and food could not be faulted. Delicious brekkie with real coffee included in the stay. Could not fault this property, facilities or staff. Will be back one day.

We have been going to this resort for years under Jerry Harvey's ownership. The new establishment provides the some of the same amenities, but not all. The most disappointing part of our stay was the Forest Restaurant I booked for our anniversary dinner, that weekend. *We were shoved in a corner and nearly forgotten *A lovely waitress finally appeared apologizing and took our drinks order. *We ordered a small entrée to keep us sated until our main meal. *We waited over and hour for the main meal, my meal was a seafood linguine. *The young waitress was most apologetic, offered us another drink. *When the food arrived my pasta was not 'al dente' uncooked and cold at the bottom of the plate. An enormous prawn tentacles and all sat on top of the dish. *Even the young waitress was perplexed. I asked how does chef propose I should eat this. Again she apologized and asked if we would like to order something else. We thanked her for her efforts to recover the situation, asked for the bill, and left. Our Anniversary dinner in tatters. Definitely won't be back any time soon.

Really well designed place that sits gently in the (protected) wetlands, well equipped, nice hotel, short walk through the wetlands to the vast extent of the each. Staff are wonderful, whole suite well designed, our stay let down by spongy mattress causing poor sleep

Wanted to love this place but found it overpriced and average for the price point. I paid over $500 per night and expected a bit more The good things: Beautiful rainforest setting Lovely big pool Delicious breakfasts Friendly restaurant staff Not as good I requested a quiet room and was placed with families beside, above and opposite me, though the place was at low occupancy. I think the resort should cater for both relaxation and family holidays more carefully The bill was incorrect and I was told I could not receive a list of my charges, I’d have to contact my booking agent. I had to insist to see the individual dockets and found the errors, the bill was corrected but it was harder than it needed to be Room service was poor - my $40 chicken Caesar took an hour and contained one tiny piece of chicken. It was also very wet and soggy. The furniture in my room was stained. No one wants to sit on a stained couch when they’ve booked something at a luxury price point
