老屋飯店(The Old Lodge)

Stayed the night in this lovely pub/B&B. Had a lovely comfortable room overlooking the golf course. Ate in the restaurant in the evening which was very nice and had a delicious hearty breakfast in the morning. The pub had a lovely a**osphere and we enjoyed having a drink there. The staff were really friendly and made a point of saying to us ‘see you in the morning for breakfast’ when we went up to our room. I was really happy with our stay.

Staff are very warm and welcoming, nothing seemed too much trouble. Beautiful surroundings located in AONB, as I drove up Cattle and Horses were openly grazing on the surrounding open land. Room was clean and provided tea and coffee making facilities, bathroom was snug, but expected from a converted old building. Views across the surrounding villages were lovely. Booked to eat in the restaurant and the food didn't disappoint and generous portion sizes. Breakfast was included with my booking and there was a good variety on offer, but went for full english . Will definitely come back for another visit.

Location great. Staff lovely . Food and breakfast excellent . What’s not to like?! Great base for visiting the area ( we went to Highgrove Gardens amongst other venues) but also if you just fancied some time away relaxing . Beer garden on a sunny day was superb!

The location is stunning. The staff are amazing. The food is to die for. Set in the middle of minchinhampton common near stroud. Close to lots of places to visist in the cotswolds. Would highly recommended this place. Got to be the best place in the cotswolds. Roccoc gardens are only 16 mins drive and well worth a visit

Lunch! The finest fish dish I've had in years. Sea Bream with mussels and lobster sauce with new pots and samphire. I'd have gone back for supper had I lived nearer! What a chef, and also lovely staff. I look forward to trying the whole menu. Thank you to all at The Old Lodge for a truly great meal in beautiful surroundings

We travelled down for an overnight stay ready for a funeral. The staff were very helpful, the room was beautifully clean and airy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous. It was lovely to be able to park the car easily and to walk on the common. We were very pleased and have booked to go again.

Very nice place. Friendly staff, good food and comfortable room. Great location for Stroud. Surrounded by golf courses, dog walkers, cows and horses! Quite busy at times but the staff seemed to cope well.

Stayed here while golfing at nearby Minchinhampton golf club, just the job, the lodge only has 6 rooms right by the old golf ciurse.

Spent two nights in this quaint hotel. In the middle of no where, although we were in the middle of a golf course, it was perfect for a winter weekend break. The hotel being old does not have all the finer things in terms of fixture and fittings, but do the staff , food and ambience make up for that....a resounding yes!!! The staff could not do enough to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food is also superb, whether it be the breakfast of main evening meal. So a very strong thumbs up from us......
