We stayed at this hotel back in January and had a good nights stay with a good nights sleep, so thought we’d return for a family trip. Location is great, but that’s where it stops. We had a group of girls outside our room at 1.30am loudly talking, which woke me up. They weren’t there long but long enough to make me anxious and ready to open the door and ask them to move. Luckily they left, but then I had a restless nights sleep awaiting their return from wherever they were going. The room also went from hot to cold continuously, there was no consistency. I mentioned this to reception and they advised me to call the Premier Inn guest relations telephone number. I’ve just done that and after explaining the issues, they apologised but said that nothing further could be done as I hadn’t reported it to reception at the time it happened. I explained that as the reception was unmanned on our return at 10.30pm, the assumption was that no one would be available to help and the receptionist the next morning advised that there was no security team onsite that could have helped at any rate. Basically, the telephone advisor suggested that while she was sorry, there was nothing further could be done. So much for the good night guarantee! Not interested in the issue whatsoever, just said I should have reported it at the time and fobbed me off. Not happy at all with this response, Premier Inn have got more and more expensive and less attractive an option for us to visit and we’ll look elsewhere in future!
