Au moment de réserver depuis leur site internet, il était indiqué que les chambres avaient été rénovées. Or, la chambre que nous avons eu ne l’était pas ou très peu… De plus, nous donnions sur un toit de l’hôtel rempli de mégots : photo à l’appui (+ problème d’aération, de la buée apparaît rapidement sur la fenêtre). Fonctionnelle certes, mais très bruyante quant aux voisins d’à côté et du dessus. Nous avons également eu un bruit de chauffage, ou d’eau (??), le soir en se couchant et au petit matin. Nous avons dû ces deux fois, descendre à l’accueil et demander à faire quelque chose quant à ce bruit qui empêchait réellement de s’endormir. La vieillesse de cet hôtel en fait tout de même son charme pour ce qui est des escaliers et du grand hall, très typique ! Le petit déjeuner était convenable, mais dommage qu’il ne se déroule pas dans une autre salle. Celle des petits déjeuners est un peu sombre et enclavée. Dans l’ensemble, 88€ une nuit pour deux avec petit déjeuner me semble convenable. Mais je conseillerai tout de même de trouver ailleurs, si c’était à refaire, nous n’y retournerions pas.

Hôtel vintage avec un charme certain de prime abord.....mais chambres vieillottes et rustiques (22). Petit déjeuner minimaliste, pas toujours bien réassorti, pas de fruit frais. Repas du soir correct, avec des légumes, poisson ou viande, plutôt bien cuisiné. Par contre, le personnel qui travaille dans cet établissement n'a pas l'air très épanoui ni heureux, surtout le barman qui était franchement désagréable... nous avons voyagé en groupe, alors nous avons bien rigolé tout de même....mais je ne viendrai pas ici en famille

Kamer heel anders dan op de foto's. Schoonmaak vreselijk. 3 nachten geboekt. Niemand geweest voor schoonmaak, bedden en handdoeken. Vochtplekkenop de muur. Heel veel onderhoud nodig. Koffie na diner? Nee! Flesje water? Nee, verkopen wij niet! Uitzicht was goed.

Inexplicavelmente a Brightwater Travels escolheu este hotel, longe de Inverness, e a nossa experiência de 1 noite não podia ter sido pior. Elevador velho e obsoleto. Corredores com toalhas sujas espalhadas no chão. Quarto minúsculo no terceiro andar, nas águas furtadas com janela minúscula de correr acusando os muitos anos sem qualquer manutenção. Máquina de café avariada. Péssimo. Ausência de apoios para as malas (ver fotos). Em suma um quarto básico, muito básico. Reclamamos na recepção logo após a chegada e não nos foi dada sequer qualquer hipótese de mudança de quarto com a justificação de estarem cheios. Não voltaremos. Experiência má. Não recomendamos e caso não tenham alternativa recusem de imediato quartos no terceiro piso.

Ik heb al veel hotels gezien in mijn leven, maar dit sloeg echt alles. Oud en vergane glorie. Maar het restaurant was echt een puinhoop. Een hele hoop scholieren in de bediening, zonder enige aansturing. Je moest ‘s morgens opgeven wat je ‘s avonds wilde eten, maar dan was dat er soms niet. Drie dagen achter elkaar dezelfde “groente van het seizoen “ gegeten. De TV had zoveel storing dat je er eigenlijk niet fatsoenlijk naar kon kijken. Wifi veel steeds uit. De verwarming werkte soms wel en soms niet. Handdoekradiator in badkamer werkte niet. Na opendraaien warme kraan duurt het enkele minuten voordat er warm water komt. De schilder is hier de laatste 20 jaar ook niet meer geweest. Enige dat redelijk was, was het bed.

One of the best hotels we stayed on our trip of Scotland.Receptionist was courteous,polite and very attentive.The hotel itself was full of old world charm and Victorian elegance.The room itself was clean and very comfortable.would highly recommend this hotel

We had a great stay at the Highland Hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Walk in shower with plenty of hot water. Views from the window were lovely. Food was plentiful and hot. Staff friendly and welcoming providing a great service.

The hotel is in Nice location and that is about all the service was terrible.Never had our room cleaned once while we were there for four nights Food was cold every single night. The only good food was breakfast. They told us the problems were all caused by a shortage of staff.

While the hotel rooms themselves were OK (basic and clean) and good enough value for what we paid, we were very disappointed in the hotels accessibility. All 4 of us have mobility and health issues and before booking we checked accessibility of rooms and were told that all rooms were accessible by a lift. Yes, there is a lift to the first floor but our rooms were up 2 small flights of stairs (11 steps total). One of our party almost fell coming down them, and it took 2 of us to assist her in doing so. When complaining to the manager, we were told it was not their problem we have mobility issues and there was no note on our booking that we could not manage steps. The main issue was their member of staff giving incorrect information about the accessibility of their rooms We also tried to have a meal in the hotel to be advised that they were fully booked. We were not advised on booking in that we needed to book evening meal in advance. When mentioned to manager, her response was she was giving her staff an 'easy night' because not every guest would want to book in for a meal (obviously staff come before guests in this hotel) While I appreciate that unexpected issues with mobililty can happen anywhere - the attitude of this hotel manager implied that the problem was not theirs but ours for being disabled. Had we been told that some rooms had steps to them, then we would have booked elsewhere to ensure we had somewhere suitable. Would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues who cannot manage steps if required
