For keen walkers there are extensive footpaths including the Southern Upland Way, which commences in the village of Portpatrick and the Galloway Coastal path from Stranraer to Mull of Galloway. Knockinaam House Holiday Cottage is located in the Rhins of Galloway, a peninsula which has a varying and enchanting range of coastal features from sandy beaches on the East coast, such as Sandhead - 7 miles of unbroken sand, to a variety of cliffs, rocks and sandy coves on the West including the secluded sandy beach at Killantringan. You will be spoilt for choice with the wide variety of beaches in the area.
