柏悅桑給巴爾飯店(Park Hyatt Zanzibar)

The hotel is beautiful. It is located at the heart of Stone town. If you like luxury than this hotel is for you. I’m definitely going to go back. The food and the friendly staff made my stay extra special.

Wir kamen um 8 Uhr morgens an, müde vom langen Flug aus Deutschland und wurden sehr herzlich Empfangen. Wir konnten sogleich unser Zimmer beziehen! Das war wunderbar! Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht und da wir an unserem letzten Tag schon sehr Früh für unseren Flug nach Arusha abgeholt werden und nicht frühstücken könnten, hat uns die nette Dame an der Rezeption angeboten, dass wir stattdessen heute Frühstücken könnten. Wie aufmerksam sie war und es wurde auch umgehend an den Frühstücksservice so kommuniziert. Tolle Organisation! Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, sauber und das Bett ist sehr bequem. Das Frühstück und der Service sind hervorragend. Die Lage ist top, die Mitarbeiter sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Wir dürfen unser Gepäck kostenlos hier lassen während unserer Safari, obwohl wir anschließend in ein anderes Hotel für einen Badeurlaub gehen. Das hilft uns wirklich sehr und ist ein toller Service. Wir sind für zwei Nächte hier und können dieses Hotel wärmstens empfehlen!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Park Hyatt in Zanzibar. The hotel is located right in Stonetown so it's within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and shopping. The hotel comprises two buildings. One building is the old historic section while the other building is the new modern section (we stayed in the new section). From what I could see, the new section had much better air conditioning (which is definitely needed in Zanzibar!). We had an oceanfront room with a nice balcony. The breakfast buffet was great with many choices. Every morning, there was a lovely gentleman cutting up coconuts so guests could drink the fresh coconut milk! The hotel bar was a great place to relax in the evenings, either inside or outside on the lovely terrace overlooking the ocean. All of the employes that I encountered went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The only negative thing that I could say (and it really didn't affect us) is that the beach on which the hotel is located is a public beach. As a result, I thought it was somewhat dirty with trash and empty water bottles lying around on the sand. The beach would also get noisy as the sun started to go down when the locals would come for a swim. But otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would HIGHLY recommend the Park Hyatt!

Can’t fault our stay at this hotel! Everything was as you’d expect from a Hyatt, but this is Africa. Excellent welcome at front desk -cold drink and cold flannel during very swift check -in. The ocean view room was everything we hoped for -4 poster massive comfortable bed, enormous bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower -there was even a TV in front of the bath! Housekeeping was spot-on - everything was fresh and timely. Food at the hotel was lovely and every server was friendly and smiling -it seems that their life’s work is to keep their guests happy - and they certainly did! The only issue we had was a small plumbing issue which was rectified immediately. Can’t praise the staff highly enough. Would return in a heartbeat… if only the weather wasn’t SO hot!
