Do not stay here if you are expecting a five or even a four star hotel. Key negatives: - We advised it was our honeymoon and no arrangements / special occasion were arranged even after reminding the manager - No onsite gym - this is outsourced - No onsite SPA - this is outsourced - Carpeted shared areas which was smelly - Dated decor throughout including bathroom - Beds were queen size and rock solid with uncomfortable pillows - Tram line over looks the pool which goes by throughout the day every 15mins or so - Roadside noise - One lady was very helpful and nothing was to big an ask - however the rest of the reception staff were terrible. Key benefits - Breakfast was good with a wide range of options - Heated pool and water available - Shuttle into town is a big benefit although taxis are cheap

Location immersa in uno splendido giardino, è sicuramente una struttura un po’ datata ma con uno stile inimitabile. Il personale è molto gentile, nonostante il nostro inglese fosse molto scolastico, ci hanno aiutato in tutto quello di cui avevamo bisogno, facendoci inoltre trovare una romantica sorpresa la sera in camera Tramite l’hotel abbiamo prenotato anche una visita ad una azienda vinicola con degustazione organizzando anche il trasfer. Le camere sono pulite e la colazione è molto buona. Consiglio inoltre di mangiare nel loro ristorante, dove potrete trovare una cucina semplice, con molti prodotti del territorio ad un prezzo medio basso.

Wow what a beautiful place! We were greeted by the most welcoming staff and shown to our lovely room. Nothing is too much trouble here! They even have a free shuttle for guests which really helped us feel at ease especially being out at night and not knowing our way round the town. We would love to come back if we’re ever lucky enough to revisit SA! Thanks for a wonderful 3 days of honeymooning :)

We completely enjoyed our stay at Franschhoeck Country House & Villas. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The villa was huge! The room is a tiny bit tired, but its old world charm was lovely and we had an amazing time. We loved the heated bathroom floor, the lovely fireplace (which they lit for us while we were at dinner), and the comfortable bed. The included breakfasts were incredible, and they were able to cater to my dietary needs very well. The cappuccinos were delicious! There were cold buffet items for breakfast as well as a nice menu of other choices. The location was great for visiting the wine country. Their free shuttle was awesome. We were in town late one afternoon and things were closing. We just called them and they came and picked us up in about five minutes. We had dinner at Monneaux both nights, and the food was pretty good. The service was excellent. I highly recommend Franschhoeck Country House & Villas!

We stayed booked to stay here for a few nights after our original accommodation in Franschhoek was unsuitable. The hotel is lovely - has a great location and very comfortable rooms with everything you need. They offer a shuttle service into the town which is less than a mile down the road. Best thing here is when you are finished in time you can message them and they will come and collect you from wherever you are. The whatsapp messaging service is perfect - they respond almost instantly to any request or question. The team in the hotel are superb. Extremely helpful and always happy and looking out for your every need. We really felt welcomed in our short stay here.

Absolutely fabulous from the minute we checked in. We loved our 2 night stay here, wonderful staff and delicious food. We stayed in Feb 2020 we're definitely coming back to Franschhoek Country House on our next trip to South Africa.

Super friendly, slight mistake on the room ended up in an amazing upgrade, nice garden, excellent breakfast and superb heated pool. All round lovely stay, with easy shuttle into town if required, but walkable if you fancy it. Definite one to go back to

We had a two story flat!! With excellent Internet connection, even during a big thunderstorm. Beautiful bathroom, nice mini bar selection so we could have a drink and watch the wine train go by in the rain that day. Breakfast was delicious and fresh.

This was a Beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds and wonderful staff. The onsite Monneaux restaurant was also fabulous - wonderful staff and impeccable food. Breakfast was very good with hot options available and we also had a very good massage on site too
