Nice hotel! Highly recommend for people who want a peace of mind.

Grande struttura annessa ad un campo da golf molto frequentato. Si trova a circa 7 km da Stellenbosch. Macchinosi controlli di sicurezza all’ingresso con sistema di riconoscimento facciale che non funziona mai. Presente una piscina all’aperto ed una bella sala sopraelevata per colazione e pasti, munita di una grande terrazza con vista sul tramonto e sui campi da golf. Bella anche l’area relax con i focolari per il ‘braai’. Avevamo una suite dotata di angolo cottura e terrazza: nulla da dire se non che comunque era piuttosto anonima. In ogni caso un soggiorno breve ma utile anche per arrivare all’aeroporto di Cape Town, che dista circa 35 km. Possibilità di chiedere una box per colazione se si deve partire molto presto. Ampio parcheggio.

雖然我對房間沒有任何意見，而且作為房費一部分提供的早餐也很好，但在到達之前，我對酒店設施感到非常惱火。預訂時，我要求可以提早入住（入住時間只能到下午 3 點！），因為我要參加附近 3 點開始的婚禮。我只希望可以提前一小時入住房間，給我時間換衣服，為一個正式場合做準備。酒店甚至沒有回應我幾週前提出的請求，當我在入住前幾天收到確認訊息時，我發現他們直接忽略了我的請求。我聯繫了他們，他們告訴我，如果我想提前入住，我需要再支付 750 蘭特！他們說會盡量安排我 13:30 入住。不用說，我斷然拒絕了這種光天化日之下的搶劫！下午 3 點入住，上午 10 點退房，每晚 2410 蘭特。算下來，每小時120.50蘭特（含早餐），他們卻要收我每小時500蘭特，就為了讓我早點入住更衣！他們還說能不能及時打掃房間！我的天哪，明知道需要提前打掃，讓員工先打掃幾個房間，這有多難？而且，清潔人員只是做了一些日常工作，比其他人更早打掃一個房間，他們就付給他們更多工資嗎？我懷疑！他們確實讓我早點入住了，而且是免費的，我本來是會拒絕的，但顯而易見的是，酒店非常安靜，人也不多，所以有什麼好大驚小怪的？又一次想騙我多賺幾塊錢？真的挺讓人難過的，房間本身就不錯，早餐也不錯。前台工作人員很友好，但辦理入住的整體「氛圍」很正式，餐廳工作人員非常友好，辦事效率也很高。

我們到的時候已經很晚了，餐廳已經關門了。好心的前台工作人員打電話給餐廳，和湯瑪斯交談，湯瑪斯主動提出幫我們做點東西送到房間。 （這家飯店沒有客房服務）。我們吃了一頓美味的牛排和一些葡萄酒，這對從美國長途旅行回來的人來說非常必要。早上，我被周圍的環境震撼。這是一個地理位置優越的度假村。我們的房間雖小，但就價格而言，很舒適。包含的早餐提供熱食和自助餐，非常豐盛。餐廳的晚餐非常棒，價格也很合理。高爾夫設施一流，景色令人嘆為觀止。我們沒有車，如果我們在這裡住超過兩晚，車子會很方便。飯店沒有可以步行到達的地方。 Uber 打車不太可靠，但前台可以幫忙安排交通。如果有車的話，這裡將是您在斯泰倫博斯長期住宿的理想選擇。

Well, this was a great choice for the last week of our holiday, our wedding Anniversary and Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thank all the staff who looked after us. Our suite was lovely, venue gorgeous, food great and service fabulous. Golf course is amazing as are all the stsff there, so caring and helpful. Hopefully we will be back.

Visited for one night in May. Super friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the golf club house. The room was decent, but we didn’t spend much time here. Most of the time was spent on the golf course and driving range. Friendly prices for rental clubs and to play 9/18 holes. Fun time:)

Stayed for 1 night in a one bedroom, garden suite - staff at reception does go the extra mile - while the one bedroom suites (apartment) is about 3 times larger than the standard rooms, due to a separate lounge, small kitchenette and an outside private garden, the rooms itself is EXTREMELY small, with only a tv in the lounge - the shower is over the bath, unlike the standard rooms that has a shower only - the mattress in our room was VERY HARD - although the property has spectacular surroundings of the mountain range, the suites whether on the first floor with balcony does not afford itself a view of the surroundings - ladies should note there is no bar soap, or even a shampoo in the bathrooms - most disappointing was the breakfast - it is NOT a buffet and ONLY some serials, a fruit bowl and 1 yogurt - NO cheeses, cold meats, or even different breads, rolls etc. - I did note it is a 4* hotel, however not even scons, croissants, or a muffin - a hot breakfast is served on order, which was quite nice - overall the service is fine, but the chef might want to review the breakfast offering, when considering the overall hotel rates - the restaurant and bar is shared between golfers and hotel guest and while we had lunch, the nicotine of the smokers sitting at the bar, reeked throughout the restaurant - it is my opinion that this is an ideal venue for golf enthusiast.

Excellent restaurant with really engaging staff. Great service with a really enjoyable menu. We had several meals in the restaurant and enjoyed every meal with a very diverse menu. Absolute value for money in a great setting. Very friendly environment to have a meal and watch the sun set.

This was a really good find and we thoroughly enjoyed it. But let’s start with what it isn’t. The title implies you might be staying in a place which is like a wine farm with tastings, behind the scenes viewing and a shop. In fact it is a hotel on a golf course, where there are also residences. The nearest you get to wine here is in the bar and restaurant. Since we like wine and not golf we thought this choice might have been a mistake. But it was a nice surprise. The rooms are functional and we very much liked our garden with Braai capability, kitchenette and separate bedroom. Everything was very secluded. The site has great security although the facial recognition element almost never worked. The views are beautiful and we especially enjoyed the outdoor breakfast on the first floor deck overlooking the course. Unlike so many hotels breakfast was menu driven and delivered to you. Only the cold selection was a buffet. There was a nice pool and an attentive waiter. It might have been cleaned more effectively - too many dead insects and leaves. But comfy sun beds - choice of shade or sun with bathrooms and changing facilities right there. As for the wine - well it sits very close to many brilliant wine farms - even in the same road. So whilst we were disappointed not to have on site it was easy to access others - even though it meant running the gauntlet with the facial recognition every time! Nothing is too much trouble for the great staff and every request was undertaken with a smile. But one of the reason why they are dashing about is because no one notices things that need doing. This is rural South Africa - the staff will walk past the empty orange juice dispenser ten times without noticing but run and get you some if you ask. Sugar, condiments, place mats and cutlery were often missing from the table settings and once again it was always cheerfully corrected. You just wished that they noticed it and saved themselves countless extra journeys. I hope I am painting a picture of very nice and helpful staff but who were generally almost always reactive and rarely proactive. Finally the prices were amazing - the accommodation, the food and drink, the laundry. Exceptional value for money. Added to that the location, scenery, and facilities converted our initial disappointment to a really positive outcome.

Highly Recommended, friendly housekeeping and reception staff. We would like to complement the restaurant manager for a great evening.

Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate offers a picturesque venue for conferencing. The Blumberg room we used has break taking views and ideal for smaller groups of up to 30 people. The food was great, and the chef checked with our participants after every meal to incorporate their suggestions and preferences, which made them feel like a part of our event more than just a host. From Thomas, Malcolm and Ingrid at the restaurant, Chrissy and Olie from events, Zoe and Monique from the reception to BB, everyone put in extra effort and made our stay memorable, making this one of our best conferences in the many years our programme has operated. Great teamwork and reflective of the management's good leadership. We would recommend them for corporate events and private stays! Might spot some springbok, while walking around the estate :)
