Exquisite location with gorgeous views. The room had central heating which was very welcome in winter. Highly recommend the Spa - we treated ourselves to one of the personal journey packages and it was totally worth it.

We had a great two night stay at this beautiful hotel whilst visiting the vineyards in Franschoek. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and all aspects of the service were excellent. Shuttle bus to the wine tram was helpful, and also into the quaint town for our dinner. The second stop on our journey and we are very impressed with SA hospitality. We had one of the cottage rooms, well equipped and nicely presented. Underfloor heatingbisvavtreat. The facility to WhatsApp reception for assistance if needed was a great idea. Immediate response was so helpful. Breakfast was extensive and beautifully presented. All in all an excellent choice for accomodation whilst doing the wine tram.....you will not be disappointed, and we would definitely recommend.

The cleaning of the rooms is a disaster. They forget several days to renew the towels, The used towels are taken but no new towels are put in place, they forgot to refill the shower liquids 2 days consecutively. The swimmingpool is overcrowded. So no chance to get a free chair if you are not in time before noon. There is some ‘backspace’ at the swimmingpool but it is really not hygienic at all. The bathroom is very narrow to take a shower. Waiting for a cappuccino in the morning at breakfast is a challenge. We have been in several hotels and guesthoused in Franschhoek but this one is really no value for money. The first time I need to review this negative. Family Robrechts Belgium

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived however when we got to our room, it looked like no one had been in it for months. There were no bathroom toiletries and no tea coffee or milk in the room. The handbasin tap was loose and you had to hold it steady to turn it on. The shower door had a gap and didn’t close properly so water went all over the floor. The phone was not working - all you got was static when you picked it up. One side of the bed had USB connectors which was great but there was no table to put your devices on. The fridge cable had been pulled out of the wall and we realised why when we connected it and it made a constant hum all night long. I requested a flatter pillow and nobody ever got back to me about it. From the outside the place looks fairly rundown. On the plus side breakfast was good and they run a shuttle to and from the township for you. Can highly recommend Ruben’s restaurant in town for a place to eat. As we had an early flight, we were given a breakfast box to take with us. My husband received extra items more than I did. How difficult can it be to ensure they are equal amounts in each bag? Would not recommend staying here

I'll try and keep it short. My husband died in Septembet last year, so I decided to spoil myself for Valrntines. I booked a room....then went to book dinner at the restsurant..the menu looked divine! When I got to the prepayment it stated dinner for 2 and the price. I wrote to the hotel explaining that I was on my own ( I didn't want to use the sympathy card, didnt think itwas necessary). They said they would talk to the manager....cane back with " you can have dinner at the Terrace attached is the menu"......from fois gras to pizza or a Spur style menu. When I checked in I asked again and said I don't mind where the meal is served but I want the Valentines dinner. No go....my meal was dreadful....I left the starter and main...nibbled on the cheese platter... I am still so cross.....surely a plan could have been made! I find it grossly discriminatory!! When I tried to book on the 7th there was availability. I went to the restaurant after my dreadful meal and asked for the Manager. Holly, the restaurant manager had no idea....no-one had come to her...she was appalled.... I really will not support somewhere where the management just don't care! The room was okay and the pool area was good...the gardens lovely....but lots of stairs. I booked a Spa treatment and that was great, but sorry, I won't t be back to the hotel and will spread my disgust far and wide.

We booked 3 rooms for our business guests , we had a confirmation and paid everything in advanced. The day we should arrive (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) we received a Whatsapp with the message that they we're overbooked and that they would help us to find another hotel. We are still waiting.....it costed us much frustration and effort tot find another hotel . Let alone our reputation towards our clients.......UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at the hotel, which did not meet expectations. Upon arrival at 7:30 PM, we were informed that our room would not be ready until 9:30 PM due to a mix-up involving another couple with a similar surname. Despite the different spellings and first names, the error led to an unnecessary delay that was quite frustrating, particularly as our passports were provided during the check-in process. The breakfast offered, while seemingly appealing, did not meet standards of quality. The toast was only cooked on one side, which set a disappointing tone for the meal. Furthermore, the service during dinner was exceptionally slow; we waited an hour and a half for our meals, despite the restaurant having only eight other patrons. I have photographs of the meals received, which I found to be subpar. The overall quality of the food was lackluster, and I cannot recommend this establishment based on my experience. Additionally, the service was unsatisfactory, and instead of resolving our concerns professionally, the manager engaged in a dispute regarding the food. Finally, we have also been erroneously charged for food and drinks that we did not consume. Overall, I believe this hotel does not provide the level of service and value that one would expect.
