La Villette 飯店(La Villette Hotel)

A good standard three star hotel which offers all the facilities for an overnight stay. If you bring your swimming costume, there is a pool included in the room rate. I stayed due to weather conditions being unable to travel to my final destination. The airline Aurigny paid for the accommodation. . Breakfast is quite substantial and hot. The evening meal was swiftly served and is traditional British fair. Staff were polite and well organised. The bedroom was smallish, but absolutely perfectly appointed with a comfortable bed and very clean room. The only downer being that it is under the flight path of the airport, but that is only a minor point.

Excellent meal in the restaurant spacious airy and comfortable atmosphere staff all very friendly and pleasant we were a large party they were good by checking our choices to make sure we had what we wanted Very good menu from all your favorites too Christmas menu also you can have as many courses as you like Everything look lovely fresh and hot and prices good too What’s not too like We definitely be visiting again thanks for a lovely time

I stayed there for a week from the 4th to 11th October 2023 and was very lucky with the weather. The Hotel is a bit out of the way and is a good walk to St Peters Port which I did daily. However there is a nearby bus stop / route (day pass recommended) and cabs are easily available. There are no complaints at all about either the hotel or the staff. The room was serviced every day and everything cleaned. Breakfast (Ps the sausages were proper) and Evenings meals were good. I did go as part of a Condor package and it was very good value. I wanted a base from which I could go and explore the delights of Guernsey and got that. Would I go to La Vilette Hotel again ....... Yes. Leslie B

The hotel is in a pleasant location - the food was excellent, the room very comfortable and the service is very good. It would be helpful for people with mobility problems to have handrails fitted where steps occur in the corridors. Would not hesitate to recommend it.

The La Villette Hotel exceeded my expectations having read previous poor reviews on Tripadvisor. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable on all aspects of the facilities. The choice of food and drinks was outstanding. I would like to add a few tips for those visiting Guernsey which will make your stay more enjoyable. Buy a PAYG SIM card for your phone, it is essential when travelling around the island. Buy a Puffin Bus pass, it will save you time and worry travelling on the bus routes. Buy a Discovery pass which gives you free access to the top 4 attractions, Castle Cornet, Fort Gray, museums and the German Naval Signals HQ. Pick up a bus timetable at the St Peter Port bus terminus shop. Visit the Tourist Information Centre for all your travelling maps and guides. Be aware that Credit cards are not always accepted, I used my Debit card and that was perfect. Toilet facilities are everywhere it is not a problem if you have a personal problem. Visit the library and post office. My favourite attractions were the Tapestry Museum and the German Naval HQ. The only disappointment was Hauuteville house which was closed. The breakfast was very good and evening meals good value for money. The pool area and facilities were excellent. Staff were helpful and they tried to accommodate our needs as best they could.

Just come back from staying at La Villette hotel in St Martin's Guernsey for 4 nights. We really enjoyed our stay as the hotel was very good, the staff very friendly and the food was reasonably priced and very good quality. It's not hard to see why it is popular with the locals. It was a great place to stay as the bus stops across the road and goes into St Peter Port, we got a 2 day pass for £11 each and visited all the places we wanted to see and also went round the Island. The hotel also had a pool with a Jacuzzi and steam room as well as a fitness centre. We thought our short break was really good value and would stay there again.

Comfortable rooms, good choice of tasty food, Carl and Ian very efficient, lovely spa facilities. Warm pool. Very helpful young lady in Spa. Good staff throughout the bar and restaurant. Plenty of Parking.

Has what you need from a hotel, double bed, bath (very short and I'm only 5'8") with fixed head shower, bar, restaurant ... all average. Redeeming features are the outdoor and indoor pools and leisure club. Used by locals too so you do feel a bit like you are intruding but there all the same. On the whole staff throughout the hotel very friendly and accommodating. Few repairs required in the bathroom, maybe the management should stay in each room for a night or two to observe the defects
