Fantastisch klein charmehotel (5 kamers) met maritiem thema en alles tot in de puntjes afgewerkt: een handgeschreven welkomstbriefje, naast het bad een kaarsje met aansteker, tegen de avond is je bed klaargemaakt met kamerjas, slippers en nougat… Bij vertrek krijgt elke kamer 2 koekjes met een kaartje “safe trip”. Kamers zeer proper en worden tweemaal per dag opgefrist (handdoeken, opmaak bed), kwalitatieve doucheproducten, zeer degelijke koffiezet van Lavazza. Ontbijt uitgebreid, verschillende warme gerechten te bestellen (omelet, eggs benedict,2 soorten porridge…),goeie koffie. Bieden ook diner aan (keuzemenu). Helaas zeer slechte wifi, valt voortdurend weg anders had ik met veel plezier 5* gegeven ☺️

Zimmer nett eingerichtet,Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit Restaurant mit herrlichem Ausblick im Internet sieht es so aus als hätte man einen direkten zugang zu einem langen Strand, als wir da waren, gab es nur eie´nen eingeschräkten Zugang zu einem Ministrand.

Sitting right on the ocean this guest house offers fantastic views and soothing ocean sounds. My best night’s sleep in South Africa. The house has been tastefully refurbished offering a small number of well appointed spacious rooms. An upstairs restaurant looking over the sea provides an excellent breakfast and will provide dinners on request with a personalized menu and service.. A very comforting and secure location.

St Francis Bay is such a lovely small town and The Sands has a fabulous setting overlooking the ocean. Everything is perfect and the staff all work incredibly hard to deliver great service with a smile. The dinners in the evening surpassed our expectation. The quality and choice could not be faulted and, with an impressive wine list too, it was so nice to sit in the small restaurant hearing the waves below and chatting to your fellow diners. We stayed here about 6 years ago. It was lovely to be back again and I’m sure it won’t be our last visit. Thank you to everyone who made our 4 day stay so memorable.

We had a lovely overnight stay at the sands... with hindsight, we wished we'd stayed for longer. The beach is lovely and being right on it was amazing. Our stay was so relaxing, the room was very big and felt very private. The food in the restaurant exceeded expectations both dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend and would love to go back.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. We unfortunately were only able to spend 1 night here. Not the ideal location for anyone with mobility issues, but extreemly comfortable. The staff went out of their way to provide us with an early breakfast, as we had an early start. Food was well served and delicious. I just wish we could have spent longer there.

We stayed at the Sands Beach House for just one night on our way to the Kariega Game reserve. If we had known what awaited us prior to booking we would have stayed at least another night! What an absolute gem, beautiful rooms with unbelievable ocean views and service which is second to none. As for dinner, WOW what an experience! The food was to die for. I had the belly pork, which is by far the best I have ever tasted. My in laws had the rack of lamb, which they loved and my wife had the risotto which again was lovely. Thank you Chef!
