The overall experience was "Meh!". I had booked this place through MakeMyTrip more than a month in advance. I had booked an Executive Suite (highest category) after seeing great pictures with only one request to provide me a suite with good views. The checkin time as at 2pm and I reached the hotel at 4pm. I checked with Mr. Irshad Ahmad if the suite had a good view and he said that this is the Presidential Suite. I went to the room through zig-zag paths to find out that the room was still being cleaned. I was told to wait for 15-20 minutes back at the reception. They offered for me to have tea while I was made to wait to which my wife said "yes" only to be told that it will be chargeable!! We ordered the tea anyways to pass our time. The room was finally given at 4:30pm (full 2.5 hours after check-in time). When enquired why was the check-in delayed to which we were told that the previous guest had a late checkout. When I asked what would have been the case if I had arrived at 2pm, there was no response! When I entered the room, it was anything but Presidential suite. There was only one window, which was looking into the backyard service area (please see the photos attached). This service area was used by their staff to carry laundry, I could see the exposed plumbing pipes and staff moving around regularly with no privacy. I was also told that the bathroom was luxurious with a jacuzzi and a bathtub - please see the pictures to assess for yourself the luxury - I almost forgot to mention that the toilet seat was broken! The bathroom had no hand towels and there was no extra counter space for vanity bags or hand towels. When I went back up to the reception to request for a different suite, I was told that this was the only suite remaining as the other 2 suites on higher floor (with supposedly good views as shown in the pictures) were already taken and I had no option than to take this one which looked like it was in the basement. The suite also had another door to the lift lobby from where you could hear staff talking in the lobby. I was even willing to move to a lower category room just to get a good view from the room but even that was denied. On the morning of checkout I requested for a 12:45pm checkout instead of regular 12pm to which I was told that would not be possible as the hotel was soldout! It seems the irony of checking me in late by 2.5 hours and denying me a 45 minute late checkout was lost out on the staff. When I escalated this to the Manager, he finally relented and allowed me a 12:30pm checkout - thank god for their tender mercies! On checkout when I complained to Mr. Irshad Ahmad that the Executive Suite was a total dump and how they had cheated us with nice pictures but reality was a depressing room - he had no response! No words of apology, sympathy, sorry for the inconvenience - he just printed the bill and asked me to pay. I was visit Golden Tulip Srinagar on 1st April for two nights staying 1207 room no this rooms is really great view with valleys and mountains. I appreciate for all staff members who's served wazwan for me, also please try to breakfast with special masala Dosa. Specially thanks to Imran Wani Manager Sales and Marketing arranged everything for me thank you ones again.

Had a good stay however the place seemed pricey. Imran from the management team did help overall. I had just my grandfather traveling so they were cooperative by all measures. Recommending this place if you dont get anything last minute…..

An undoubtedly amazing experience at Golden Tulip. The staff and their service is greatly appreciated. No stone was left unturned in their service . Special kuddos to Miss Saima and her team for being so forthcoming with their help. A must stay for Kashmir!

Amazing service by staff beautiful property stayed two days with family I enjoyed my time hotel is just 5 minutes walk from dal lake making it very convenient the room was spotless & the bed was extremely comfortable staff went above & beyond to ensure I had great stay
