My wife and I stayed at the AC Hotel Split from Aug 30th to Sept 6, it was a trip to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We arrived after a long day of travel from Toronto Canada and we were immediately impressed with the beautiful lobby, Luka at the front desk welcomed us warmly and alerted the General Manager Damir Lukic of our arrival. Damir came down to the desk and greeted us and explained all of the features and amenities of the hotel, and told us that our room would be on the top floor with an amazing view of the city. I cannot say enough great things about how Damir and the staff treated us throughout our stay. Damir Lukic should be the blueprint of how Marriott hotels treat guests with Ambassador Status, he and his staff better provided an absolute masterclass of hospitality. Prior to arriving at the AC Hotel I had read reviews of how far it is away from the riva and some of the other attractions in Split. My wife and I walked to the harbour, Riva, and Diocletian's Palace and it was about 20 to 25 minutes. I very much enjoyed the location of this hotel as during our walks we would take in the actual culture of the working people in Split, we would line up for espresso and pastries with the people and experience something more than the tourist culture of the riva. Rooms were incredibly spacious and nicely accented with rich wood, beds were extremely comfortable. Bottled water was supplied daily and there was a nice little mini bar fridge that we could put beer, soft drinks and snacks in. We only had breakfast in the hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. It had an egg station, cereals, breads and pastries, juices, pancakes, fresh fruits, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. On the day of my Birthday the team sent me up a cart with a birthday cake, some bottled water and an icy cold bottle of Prosecco. A very nice gesture on my milestone birthday. I would very much recommend the AC Hotel to anyone going to Split. Anyone can visit a city, the location of the AC Hotel allows you to immerse yourself in the city. I will remember my trip to the AC Hotel very fondly and I appreciate all of the great staff very much
Fabulous hotel and staff. We stayed in a Superior Room with sea view on the top floor and the views were fantastic. Our room was ready before check in time and it was spotlessly clean. It was a small room, but for one night it was fine. The bed and sheets were very comfy and the ac worked very well. We used the roof top bar and pool area. The pool is very shallow, apart from a small section at the end, but it good enough to cool off in. It's also a good spot to boat watch from. All of the food and drink we had at The Ambasador during our short stay was very good. The staff were professional and happy to help. My partner and I both had massages which were very good, and a nice treat. We didn't use the spa or gym area, but we looked and it was clean and welcoming. We would definitely stay at The Ambasador again, and would highly recommend it for a stay in Split.
Before arriving, I read reviews of this hotel. Many 1 star ratings with confusing reviews. When we arrived, the reception area is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the sea. There is also a bar and restaurant downstairs. We were on the second floor and there were stains on the carpet in the hallway, but that didn’t affect my hotel room. We walked in the hotel room and it was clean, brand new and spacious. The bathroom was so clean and big. The only criticism of the bathroom is that it doesn’t have an electrical outlet. The room had lots of storage and was well planned. The hotel is about 20 minutes from old town Split so we ate dinner in the hotel. We also had breakfast there. The food was great! Don’t be scared off from the one star reviews!
For a 5 star hotel I must say they are just ok staff were Okish we was not allowed to be at the bar in swim wear even though we were staying at the hotel and the outdoor pool was closed, beach area was closed being fixed and indoor pool had no area to consume drinks or else
The Briig is an absolutely beautiful hotel. From the moment you step inside you are greeted with sweetly perfumed air and a light and airy reception. The staff at front desk were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed a room with a lovely view of the sea and a window that fully opens so as to enjoy the sea breeze. The hotel is perfectly situated next to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the heart of Split - perfect if wanting to walk off a meal. It feels like a quiet paradise away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast is very well presented but we were initially not notified that there is a breakfast menu that we could order from - it was strangely hidden away from guests. We are also not initially asked if we wanted coffee or tea and thought that we had to get our own from the basic coffee machine. There was an actual coffee machine that we eventually noticed and had to ask someone for a coffee. The air conditioning is also controlled from reception - but they are happy to set it to whatever temperature you desire . The room we booked had a large kind bed and as I was traveling with a friend, they were nice enough to equip the bed with separate bedding for each of us .
Stayed here as part of a tour. The Hotel itself isn't too bad, nice rooms, mini bar, room safe & a good size TV. The bathroom is nice. However, they have squeeze bottle soap dispensers, which are a bit annoying. Breakfast was okay, but there was nothing to rave about. Staff were nice & friendly. There is a supermarket nearby and a shopping mall a short walk away. However the location is a bit out of the tourist part of town & I'm sure if yiur a tourist you could find something closer to attractions
訪訪客We stayed for a week in early October, and had a great time. First of all, the reception staff were really good - friendly, helpful, seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing, and if they could help etc. Excellent. We were on floor 3 (room 2) which meant we had a great view over the roofs with the sea in the distance. The balcony was small but big enough for a couple of seats and a table, and it had the sun from dawn until dusk. The room itself was nice - really large bed, and as it was a fairly big room, plenty of space for two people to walk around and not get in each others way! Fridge and safe were both included at no extra charge. Breakfast was nice - plenty to fill us up and serving until 11am meant there was no rush. Location wise, we found it ideal. Being in the old city would be nice, but this is only a short walk away (20 mins?) and could be either along the beach (paved path the whole way) or was a simple straight road down through the town. We did get a few Ubers which cost 5.50 each way. We're happy as long as we're in easy reach of the action. The beaches are a 5-10 minutes walk - depending on your preference for sand/pebbles/rocks, you can just walk along the path until you find a spot you like as there's a bit of everything. Shops and bars along the seafront too, so that's good if you need anything. The swimming pool area was quiet and relaxing - plenty of sun during the day, and although the pool itself was cold, it was really nice once you're in! Although it's only a few minutes walk to quite lively shops/cafes/bars, the hotel was just off a quiet street and felt really calm considering how close everything was. Overall we were really pleased with our choice, no complaints at all (we did have a noisy air con unit outside on the wall, but this was sorted the same day as we mentioned it - again, great work from the staff!) If we find ourselves in Split again, then I would be more than happy to stay here!
訪訪客We had a lovely four-night stay at this hotel, tucked away in the Diocletian Palace. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was very good indeed. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve had anywhere, and we’ve tried a fair few! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hopefully we’ll be back!
