I booked the apartment very late on a Friday and went out on the Sunday. The taxi driver pointed me in the right direction outside the apartment, it was about 30m away from the road. The taxi was booked through Dora, who I delt with at the apartment, 45 euros each way for the taxi, It was a very plush Mercedes. I had the purple apartment, I was very happy with it, very clean, well maintained, good quality, the bed was maid every day, and was very comfortable, air conditioning, fridge, nice shower, TV, everything you could want in an apartment, but having a balcony, was the cherry on the cake, amazing, decent views, and has the sun shining on it until 9pm. The apartment is very quiet at night, its about 4-5 minute walk to the main area of the town, and it also has a small shop 1 minute away to buy food, sandwiches, beer, its much cheaper than in the town, ideal. There is only one small thing that was a negative, but Im not sure if the apartment is in control of it. The Nirvana apartments are on the 3rd floor, unfortunately there is no lighting as you walk in and up to the 3rd floor, other people and companies have the other floors, so I don't know if its up to them to light that area, if you are back before 9pm, then no problem. I chatted to the couple who were in the next apartment, they were very happy their apartment. Would I go back, YES, next week if I could, I had a great time, and Dora, who you will deal with at Nirvana Rooms is a star, very helpful.
The accommodation has several separate rooms all accessed from a main door to the building then a separate key coded door to a small foyer for Luxury Rooms Floramye and again a separate key code for access to the individual rooms. Very secure and no need to worry about swipe cards or keys to gain access. The foyer had maps of the main tourist area that guests can take along with some other brochures. A stand with umbrellas for guest use was also in the foyer and a small tub chair. The room I stayed in was large along with a separate large bathroom. The room contained a large bed with nice linen. A tub chair and another chair and small table that had coffee brewing machine, electric jug and mugs and glasses and spoon, bottle opener and cork screw. A small fridge (no freezer) was located under the small table enough to cool some water or drinks or a small amount of refrigerated food or milk. A medium sized television on the wall with local channels with the ability to log into Netflix using your own account if you have a subscription . Two large windows with shutters enabled light and air to be controlled in the room. There is also an air conditioning unit. Plenty of lights and power points including USB ports. A large wardrobe with hangers that also has some shelves on one side that has a safe and medical box. There are also multiple supermarkets near the accommodation and a few small food/cafe places and bakery very close by. There is a little traffic noise in the morning and evening rush hour but I had no problem with this and slept well . The WiFi in the room was very good. The bathroom has towels , hand towel, face washer and bath mat. There is also a hair dryer and heated drying rack on the wall for drying towels and power point and a shaver power point. The bathroom cabinet has two drawers for storing items in. The shower has two glass sliding doors for easy access and has a rainfall shower head and a smaller shower head that can also be hand held. Plenty of hot water was always available. The walk to the Riva or the bus station and ferry is approx 15 mins and with two wheeled luggage I had no trouble walking to the accommodation after arriving by train late in the evening. The other main bus station for city or urban buses was also approx 15 min walk. I would say the location is walkable but for those with a lot of luggage or not prone to walking after a day of sightseeing you may prefer to get transportation by bus or taxi . Overall I would rate this accommodation very highly . The owner communicated well and replied promptly with information about my stay and codes to gain access. I had no issues during my stay, with other guests from the other rooms coming and going always being respectful and as quiet as possible.
Let me start by saying I'd give the Authentic Luxury Hotel 6 stars if I could! First thing I noticed is when I would ask questions, I'd get a quick response via *******. And prior to our visit, the staff would ask US questions, i.e., do you need transportation from/to the airport? As soon as we landed in Split, our driver was there with a sign to alert us who we were looking for. He was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed to Split. We arrived a bit early and were greeted by Ivana (who was fabulous). She told us we could leave our luggage in the reception area (a small office where breakfast is also served) and that they would put them in our room for us when the rooms are ready. Since Americans are used to a ”hotel” where it may be multiple floors in one building, it is different in Croatia. The actual hotel has 2 different buildings - 2 of the rooms we were in were just a few steps away in the same building as the office. It was extremely warm & humid so the air conditioning was very welcome! Breakfast consisted of cheeses, meats, croissants, bread, pastries, boiled egg, coffee and juice which was a perfect start to the day. Since we were boarding a ship the next day, we needed help getting our luggage to the boat and we were assisted by Mario (hope I have your name right!). To walk to your boat with luggage is not unusual and we appreciated his help! When returning from our cruise (which was also fabulous) we stayed again especially since it was so wonderful the first time. Our second room was even better. It was in a different building but again, they put our luggage in our room for us. While it was on the second floor (no elevator - old, charming building that is being renovated), we did not have to lug our luggage up those stairs - they took care of that for us. Our updated room was very nice! And when we left the next day, once again, the driver loaded our luggage up for us and off we went back to the Split airport. I would stay here again! <3
