Me and my partner stayed for 6 nights the room was lovely and clean..the staff were really friendly..had breakfast every morning it was very nice

The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant however the rooms were very hot (28 degrees centigrade) and had no air conditioning, a fan was supplied but only moved the hot air about. The duvet was very heavy which made sleeping uncomfortable, my wife is disabled and struggled with the heat and the duvet.

We started the Trans-Pennine Trail by arriving at 11:00pm at night where the staff were amazing to help us. We had two bikes to store in our twin room and the room was totally capable of managing this and we still had room to move. We had a really nice sleep on super comfortable beds - totally unexpectedly so - before we ended up getting one of their superb breakfasts in the morning. All in all, this is a superb place for cyclists to stay en route to the start of the trail which is only a very short few minutes away. If I ever do the trail again, I'll be back!

We stayed at the Southport Premier Inn during a heatwave and had a truly awful experience. While the website says there’s no air con, we didn’t expect the room to be this unbearably hot. Only one fan was provided for a room with three adults (including one with MS) and two small children — it just blew hot air around and made no difference at all. We asked for an extra fan and were told no. We asked to move rooms and were told the hotel was full. It was impossible to sleep — we all had headaches, the children were miserable, and one adult actually had to sleep in the car just to cool down. That says it all, really. For £168 a night, I expected at least the basics of comfort. We received none. I would not stay again and wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially during warmer months. Premier Inn really needs to rethink how it handles extreme temperatures — this was unacceptable.

HORRIBLE HOTEL. YE HOTEL FULL OFF BED BUGS. THE STAFF SEEMED LIKE YHEY WASNT BOTHERED HAD TO LEAVE THE HOTEL AT 11 AT NIGHT. I WONDER WHY YE HOTEL HAS BED BUGS HMMM. (RUBBER BOAT MEN)

no air conditioning in room. had a fan in room&brought own fan, left on 24hrs, room still like a sauna.stayed 2 nights, left totally exhausted. AVOID THIS HOTEL. only stay if you want no sleep&like to sleep in a sauna. THIS HOTEL NEEDS AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLED IN ALL ROOMS. food and staff very nice on a positive note.great location.
