Desolation Hotel is truly special. From the moment I arrived on the property, I was struck by how seamlessly everything is designed for comfort and ease. The attention to detail is remarkable, from the private, secure parking to the modern rooms filled with character and thoughtful touches that create moments of delight throughout your stay. Maggie’s restaurant is an absolute gem, offering inventive and delicious dishes that quickly made it a highlight of my visit. The staff there, and across the hotel, went above and beyond, left feeling like I had made lifelong friends. The location is unbeatable: just a 5-minute walk to Heavenly and 5 minutes to the lake, making it perfect for both adventure and relaxation. I stayed for four days, and in that time, I genuinely felt like part of the family. This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences of my life. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it’s a rare find that goes beyond expectations in every way.

Loved the hotel! Hotel staff were great and super friendly. My only complaint is that the sofa bed is very hard and it hurts to lay on. Both my boys complained when they knew it was bed time because it was just so uncomfortable. Other than that we had a great experience and would return.

The staff were welcoming and attentive, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I also enjoyed the hotel's amenities, including a lovely pool and relaxing outdoor areas. Overall, the Desolation Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, style, and excellent service—I highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again.
