Very good service and room

Excelente hotel

Wir verbrachten zwei Wochen dort im März 2024. Das Wetter war äußerst angenehm, trocken und leicht windig, was sehr angenehm war. Der Strand ist einzigartig, sehr weitläufig, und abgesehen von den Hotelgästen sieht man dort keine anderen Menschen. Das Hotel erstreckt sich über ein großes Gebiet von Mangroven und besticht durch eine gelungene Architektur. Alle Zimmer bieten Meerblick und sind äußerst geräumig, sauber und modern ausgestattet. Der Zimmerservice ist ausgezeichnet. Es gibt mehrere Restaurants, wobei wir hauptsächlich das Restaurant Chaya (für Frühstück und Abendessen) und das Riviera für das Mittagessen besuchten. Im Restaurant Chaya: Das Frühstück: Ein äußerst reichhaltiges Buffet mit allem, was man sich wünscht. Sollte etwas fehlen, kann man dies direkt anfragen, und es wird sofort an den Tisch gebracht. Der Service ist motiviert, äußerst freundlich und professionell auf höchstem Niveau. Man wird von der sehr netten Frau Fernanda empfangen und zu seinem gewünschten Tisch begleitet. Danach wird man sofort (ohne Wartezeiten) von Wilbert, Miguel, Ezequiel, Guadalupe, Ivan und anderen sehr netten Mitarbeitern nach Kaffee, Wasser, Säften und besonderen Wünschen gefragt, und das auf eine sehr feine und freundliche Art. Es ist einfach großartig. Das Abendessen: Wir haben fast ausschließlich im Chaya zu Abend gegessen, und dafür sind nicht nur der Teamchef David und sein Team wie Miguel, Misael, Elias, Ivan, Antonio, Tomas, Alejandro und natürlich alle anderen Mitarbeiter verantwortlich, sondern besonders auch der Chefkoch LUIS FERNANDO. Da wir 14 Tage dort waren und kein Fleisch essen, war es etwas schwierig, jeden Abend neue Gerichte zu finden, ohne sich zu wiederholen. David und Miguel schlugen uns vor, vom Chefkoch verschiedene Gerichte zu bestellen, und das haben wir auch getan. Wir überließen es Chefkoch Luis Fernando, für uns immer etwas aus der mexikanischen Küche vorzubereiten, und es war extrem schmackhaft – ein absolutes Erlebnis, das wir allen Gästen empfehlen würden, diese Gelegenheit nicht zu verpassen. Es war auf Sterneküchenniveau. Das Abendessen war für uns immer ein Erlebnis. Im Restaurant Riviera: Das Mittagessen: Wir wurden von der sympathischen Frau Abigail sehr freundlich empfangen und zu unserem Tisch begleitet. Der Manager Roberto, der sehr gut Deutsch spricht, sowie Antonio und andere Mitarbeiter kümmert sich äußerst aufmerksam um das Wohl aller Gäste, wir haben es sehr genossen. Der Manager Alejandro kann mit Recht stolz auf sein Team sein. Strand: Sehr großzügig, die Sonnenschirme stehen mit großem Abstand zueinander, und die Liegen sind top. Ismael und Alejandro waren besonders motiviert und freundlich und haben sich immer um Wasser oder andere Wünsche gekümmert. If you are looking for a quiet, luxurious getaway in an ideal location then this place is for you. From the minute we entered the beautiful open air lobby, my husband and I felt immediately at ease. Check-in was quick and seamless. We had a quick short tour and a brief wait before we were shown to our room. We arrived on an early flight and our room was ready before check-in time. ROOM: Our deluxe king ocean view room was located on the second floor. The views from the balcony over looking the mangroves made for the perfect sunrise. We were more than comfortable in this entry level room. PROPERTY: Pictures online don’t do this place justice. The architecture is breathtaking. It is also super easy to navigate around the grounds. The gym is well equipped and was never too busy during our early morning workout. We spent afternoons by the main pool. There’s never a problem getting loungers and drink service is on point. Service in general was top notch the entire stay. Every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful and attentive. Absolutely zero complaints. FOOD: We had breakfast at Chaya each morning. The a la carte breakfast options were great value and we preferred this to the buffet. Lunch was poolside at Riviera each day. We really enjoyed the salads there. We wish we had more time to try the beach club restaurant. Dinner at Toro was very good but the highlight of our dining experience was over at the Edition hotel next door. We took a golf cart over to have dinner at KI’IS. The 8 course tasting menu was phenomenal. Having options next door is great for more variety during a longer stay, and all food and drinks was charged to our room which made it easy. No need to carry your credit card around. We will definitely look to stay here again on our next trip to riviera maya. 10/10 across the board.

This was our first time staying at a St Regis property, and it truly was such an incredible experience. We have never experienced such a high level of service at a hotel previously, but we had an amazing stay for five nights. You could tell the staff was meticulously trained to pick up on every detail about you and use it to make your experience incredible. For example: the first night we had dinner at Toro, my boyfriend said to the waiter “ give my compliments to the chef!” And a minute later, the chef was standing at our table, explaining to us how he cooked the amazing Escolar fish, which was amazing by the way. When we were paying our bill at the end of the meal, my boyfriend said “ We are going to need a wheelchair to get us back to our room because we ate so much.” Two minutes later, we leave the restaurant and there’s a golf cart waiting for us to take us back to our room which we thought was hilarious and so kind. Highly recommend dining at Toro- our highlights were the churros that were the best we’ve ever had. The property is incredibly beautiful and when we were there, they told us it was there a busy season, but truly at times we felt like we were the only guests at the resort. On our way to the pool every day, we barely saw any guests as many of them have pools attached to their rooms, so no need to leave. If you are looking for somewhere to relax as a couple, this is the most incredible resort we’ve ever been to in Mexico. If you are looking for any type of a party scene, this is absolutely not the hotel for you as there is no party whatsoever and to get to and from Riviera Maya, if you wanted to go out would be Around a $70 taxi is what they quoted us. If you have a toddler, you would be fine at this resort as we did see other small children around, but due to the intimate bathrooms in the hotel rooms, I would not recommend bringing children to stay in the same room as you as the bathroom is very open without a lot of privacy. We did not do any activities other than go to the gym in the morning eat breakfast swim in the pool eat lunch on a beach chair and have an amazing dinner in the evening- I’m sure the concierge could help to schedule activities for you, but we truly enjoyed being at the property, the entire stay because of how relaxing it truly was. The only negative thing that I would say about this property was the first night that we had dinner. We made a reservation at Chaya and we found out from our butler that the restaurant was closed for the night and instead they would be having a Mexican themed night, which we thought was really cute. We weren’t super hungry and it was a buffet style dinner outside with a mariachi band and a bunch of different food stations. It looked almost like an upscale wedding type of buffet. Anyway, we only had a little bit of food and that was one of the most expensive dinners that we had throughout our entire stay. Upon our recent arrival at this hotel, which is a new and contemporary establishment, and unmistakably a St. Regis Star property, our initial experiences, regrettably, have not met our high expectations. As an Ambassador who has dedicated many years to frequent stays at Marriott's upscale properties, averaging 200 nights per year, I anticipated a level of service and accommodation commensurate with my loyalty and status. However, the room provided is notably compact, and disappointingly, no upgrade options were made available to us, despite our willingness to utilize a suite night upgrade certificate. This was further compounded by the absence of a welcome from the management team. A significant oversight is the lack of a desk in the room, which considerably hinders the ability to conduct work, an essential for many travellers. Additionally, the limited closet space presents a challenge for guests on extended stays. On a brighter note, the staff have demonstrated exceptional friendliness and professionalism. It is unfortunate, however, that this commendable attitude does not extend to a recognition of loyalty within the St. Regis brand, a facet that is crucial in the hospitality industry. Reflecting on our stay at the Waldorf Astoria in Cancun during the same period last year, the contrast in room comfort and amenities is stark. The St. Regis would do well to aspire to the standards set by such esteemed competitors.

We enjoyed 5 nights at this spectacular resort in October. The atmosphere was very relaxing and although there was a big wedding close to the end of our trip, it never felt crowded. We stayed in a St Regis suite with a plunge pool which was great for relaxing evening swims. The service from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the restaurants and beach was impecable. Our butlers, Alejandra and Elpidio helped with every request ensuring that our stay was flawless. I also want to recognize Jessica, our housekeeper, and Eloy who drove us around in the golf cart who helped make our stay even more enjoyable. We dined at Chaya every morning and at Riviera every afternoon and enjoyed every meal. Obed and the rest of the team at Riviera took great care of us and took care of all special requests. We also had a great meal at Toro. If you’re looking for a relaxing resort that offers some privacy and outstanding service, I highly recommend the St. Regis Kanai. Can’t wait to go back.
