桑德本大廳飯店(Sandburn Hall)

We stayed here for a wedding. The room itself was prefect. (Family room) Large bathroom and very spacious bedroom area. We had a mini fridge with water and milk in, tea coffee facilities etc. iron, hairdryer. Unfortunately we didn’t think the beds or pillows were very comfy. Very large bed but it was 2 beds put together and me and my partner could feel the gap between the beds! Not what we expected. The venue is absolutely stunning! We had the best time. All staff were friendly polite and welcoming. The food was excellent. We had pork/chicken/beef over 2 courses then a cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely delicious!

Absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t fault this hotel. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Had a fantastic night’s sleep. Bathroom was stunning. Little touches like fresh milk and water in the fridge, replenished daily along with the tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits were very welcome. Loved the family story behind the hotel and the special extras like the Yorkshire rose and tiny key (!). Great lighting in the bedroom, loads of plug sockets (all exactly where you need them, which makes a nice change for a hotel!), plus usb plugs. Beautiful location. Really enjoyed sitting in the bar with a cocktail and looking out over the grounds in the early evening setting sun. Only thing that could improve this hotel would be a spa - then we’d be back like a shot!!!

Had a lovely stay. Hotel is very modern and in beautiful surroundings. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms could do with a little hotel information, I.e menu for restaurant, info in sports bar (we just happened to find it when our roaming) but otherwise was amazing and highly recommend. Addition of an electric car charger was perfect for us and took the stress out if return journey being able to charge up on site. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel only a 15 minute drive from York city centre. The hotel is a lovrly modern building but very clean and homely. We were made very welcome by the friendly professional staff. Rooms were beautifully equipped and furnished with extremely comfortable beds. The onsite restraunt Tykes served good quality food with a nice range of choices and friendly helpful staff.

Fantastic stay. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff throughout my stay. Lovely facilities. Breakfast had a wide range of choice: the homemade granola is amazing. Only negatives were unable to open windows ..has fancy heating control but prefer to open a window and I am not a fan of two single beds zipped together to make a king.

A very clean and modern hotel with friendly helpful staff. Lovely fresh rooms tastefully decorated. Restaurant staff looked overworked and tired on the day I stayed (Mother’s Day) and they undercharged me for my meal. And yes, I did own up!

Short but great stay.Not the cheapest but definitely one of the best. Friendly helpful staff. Exceptionally clean, lovely setting, comfortable rooms. Simply lovely.

Lovely hotel in all respects. Location is mid way between the East coast and York so perfect for a two-day trip. We have stayed here before and hope to stay again. All the staff were welcoming and helpful.
