羅賓遜簡易別墅(Robinson Bungalows)

This is an amazing property and a fantastic experience. We booked the last available basic bungalow, which meant a short walk to a shared outdoor toilet/shower hut (*there are bungalows with private toilets and showers available). There is no hot water, but it didn’t take long to figure out that a room temperature shower is available in the mid- to late-afternoon. The food in the onsite restaurant is top notch, and be aware: the portion sizes are huge! If you’re so inclined there is a nice little beach bar near the water with cheap beer and reasonably priced, strong cocktails. Best of all, of course, is the idyllic Sunset Beach location. Great sand, lots of comfy, shaded seating just back from the beach, and clear, warm water for swimming. Be aware that you have to hike into the property from Saracen Bay. The hike takes approximately 25 minutes and there is a short stretch that requires caution (and a reasonable level of fitness), but there are guide ropes on that stretch so it’s safe. Also, the site is pretty much off-the-grid, so there is no data or wifi - which is part of the charm. If you absolutely must connect to the internet you can take a short walk (like 3 minutes short) up the beach to Sunset Adventures. There you can sip one of their outstanding smoothies or fruit juices while you jump onto their wifi for a bit. But hopefully you don’t feel the need to don’t feel the need too often, because being set free from your phone is part of what makes Robinson Bungalows so special. Highly recommended.

Effectivement la descente vers sunset beach est sportive mais très bien balisée par des cordes le long du chemin. Ce petit paradis se mérite, il faut du temps pour l’atteindre, pour apercevoir la mer turquoise entre les arbres. Des qu on arrive, on se sent bien, immédiatement bien. Ce lieu est enveloppant de douceur, entouré par la jungle et donnant directement sur une plage de carte postale, de bout du monde. Les bungalows sont directement sur la plage. Fait de bois et bambou, l air y circule, on respire, on s endort bercé par les vagues. La terrasse donne sur la plage, on y traîne des heures à bouquiner, à regarder la couleur hypnotisante de l’eau. L endroit est très silencieux, il invite au calme, on entend les oiseaux et les vagues s’écraser sur la plage. Le lit est immense et comfortable Il n y fait pas chaud, même aux heures chaudes de la journée. Le restaurant sert de la cuisine khmere de qualité, avec des plats très variés. Goûter le une pierrade-entourée d une soupe, l amok de poisson, les currys, tout est bon, frais, parfumé, délicat. On entend les cuisinières rire, on sent l ambiance saine qui y règne. L établissement est très bien entretenu, pas un grain de sable sur le deck du restaurant. Au coucher du soleil, le nom de la plage prend ton son sens, le beach bar s éclaire de guirlandes lumineuses et les cocktails colorent les tables basses. Au lever du jour, il y a un joli cours de yoga dispensé dans le shala directement sur la plage juste à côté de l établissement. Le vent et le roulis des vagues en fond sonore. Quand le soleil se lève, on enfile masque et tuba, le meilleur spot de snorkeling se trouve juste en face. Il y a beaucoup d activités à faire, une vingtaine de voies d escalade, randonner à travers les chemins dans la jungle jusqu’à lazy beach, sortir en kayak voir le plancton phosphorescent, se faire masser sur la plage, se balader en paddle … ou bouquiner sur son hamac à la plage, se reposer du matin au soir, laisser les heures s écouler. C’est un bel endroit, un très bel endroit, un de ses lieux secrets, où on recharge les batteries après un long voyage, on se sent bien, déconnecté, simplement bien. Une pépite. On mesure la chance qu’on a d y séjourner et on a absolument pas envie d en partir.

Pas simple d’accès… cet endroit se mérite, mais vaut vraiment le détour. Même durant la saison des pluies! Le vent souffle. Les vagues empêchent l’accès des bateaux et le snorkling … mais l’endroit est beau, les couchers de soleil sont à tomber. Les bungalows sont spartiates, cela fait parti de l’aventure. On y mange très bien tout en écoutant du rock cambodgien des années 60.

Sunset Beach ist ein kleines etwas abgeschiedenes tropisches Paradies. Hier bietet Robinson Bungalows einfache Bungalows order Zelte direkt am Strand oder in Strandnähe. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und familiär, die Räume sind sauber und mit Moskitonetz versehen. Das Restaurant bietet eine gute Auswahl an Drinks und ausgezeichnete Khmer Cuisine.

Located at sunset beach on Koh Rong Samloem. Gently nestled in the jungle rustic. It boasts a bar on the beach, which is a fantastic location. The spacious restaurant provides a collection of western and Khmer cuisine. Clean and friendly atmosphere with great sunsets.

Für mich waren 2 Nächte am Sunset Beach völlig ausreichend, dort hat man das echte "Jungle Feeling", abseits von Parties und Chaos. Leider hatte ich Pech mit dem Wetter, es gab Regen und der Wind war stark, sodass es keinen Sonnenuntergang gab, und Snorkelling war leider auch nicht möglich. Ansonsten ist der Weg dahin ziemlich hart, am.Besten so wenig Gepäck wie möglich mitnehmen (ein Koffer kann man auf keinen Fall.dahin schleppen). Leider gab es gerade eine Baustelle neben meinem Bungalow (es werden neue Bungalows gebaut), sodass es von 7:30 bis 18:00 Uhr nur Lärm gab. Entspannen konnte ich hier leider nicht. Die Bungalows sind basic und haben viele offene Stellen, sodass mit vielen Insekten im Zimmer zu rechnen ist. Von allen 4 Resorts am Sunset Beach ist Robinson allerdings bereits das Beste. Für Snorkelling würde ich lieber Lazy Beach empfehlen, dort gibt es Koralle und bunter Fisch und der Weg dorthin ist viel einfacher.

Went there yesterday for dinner. Asked a waiter for a water bottle refill, which was on the menu. I asked if the water was filtered and the young male waiter said yes yes. 10 seconds later he comes from the kitchen with my full 1,5l bottle with him. I already felt suspicious because refilled water takes longer to fill the bottle. Anyway, I dranked from the bottle and the water tasted very weird. Took a couple of sips before I decided I don't want to drink this anymore. And now, 10 hours later I have horrible diarrhea as the only one from our friend group who drank the water. The refill wasn't even on the bill, so the guy had probably no idea what he was doing. Please inform your staff, that water refill should not be taken from the tab. And thanks for the diarrhea, hope I didn't catch any parasites. Anyway the rest of my trip is ruined. Thank you really.
