橡樹旅館(Hotel the Oaktree House in Shimla)

Situated on a quiet road just 1 km off auckland tunnel. 15 minutes drive from the mall rd. very cosy hotel. We stayed at luxury room 111. Big balcony with valley view. Very comfortable room with nice decor. Food of this hotel was very delicious. Limited menu as its a small hotel . But everything available on order if desired. We forgot to ask the chef’s name . Talented guy. The 2 staff were very courteous. We strongly recommend to those looking for a good hotel with valley view , amazing food , great location.

The oak tree house situated in the heart of Shimla, has a warm homely feel. We are a family of 4, we took their suite/ family room. Very well designed room with a great view from the balcony. It has simple good food and prompt service. Only problem is parking of vehicle. All in all it is good value for money, i will definitely stay there again if i visit Shimla.

Gorgeous view, very comfortable rooms, and lovely staff. The room service is very prompt and the ***ager too very friendly and helpful. The food too is very tasty and wholesome. We travelled with two small children, and they were very accommodative of our requests. I will always stay here everytime I travel to Simla.

Beautiful hotel and perfect place away from hustle and bustle. Food is delicious and freshly cooked. Must try poori aloo bhaji and kadai chicken. Staff Bharatram and lalit are very helpful and ensure comfortable stay of their guests. Rooms are spacious with big balcony and all amenities. You can sit and enjoy views with cup of tea and coffee. They can arrange taxi for sightseeing. Highly recommended.

The hotel compliments its name. Though a small property but very well maintained and guests are taken care of very well. The front office ***aged by mr. ***n Walia is outstanding. You name anything he will do it. I think he doesn’t have NO in his dictionary. The cook mr. Santosh and room service by Bhagat and Lalit are well taken care of. FULL FIVE STARS

Close enough to the Bazaars that even this old duck with Osteo could walk to them, but far enough away that you escape the crush and constant noise in town. The service was terrific - a mixture of Homestay kindness and five star Silver service. The food was delicious - we tried almost everything on the menu - highly recommend the Gobi ***churian snack and Paneer Tikka Masala yum! And this is coming from a scared eater (I got sick twice in India but the food here was clean and good). If your a birdwatcher there are Red-billed Blue Magpies, Great Barbets, Kalij Pheasants, Ultramarine Flycatchers and Slaty-headed Parakeets in the oaks, cedars and rhododendrons that surround the accommodation. Finally the staff - caring, thoughtful and super helpful. Highly recommended.
