This is Good Heritage Hotel on Mall Road. Excellent Staff and Hospitality

Il centro di Shimla merita una visita per la sua struttura British, per la sua collocazione in cima ad un colle, per il suo bazar, che merita una visita. Vi sono inoltre numerosi ristoranti degni di esser visitati. La sistemazione nell'hotel Clarkes è stata eccellente. L'hotel è ben posizionato, sul mall, quindi si esce dall'hotel e si è su una strada chiusa al traffico, in centro. L'hotel è "heritage", quindi d'epoca. Camera Ok, elegante, ben arredata. La struttura è un po piccola e manca di spa e di giardino degno di questo nome, ma la posizione e l'atmosfera compensano le mancanze. Personale gentilissimo, Il ragazzo alla reception mi ha aiutato a fare il check in on line per il volo di rientro in Italia, la colazione è stata eccellente e servita con squisita cortesia dal personale di sala. La Quinta stella va ascritta alla cortesia delle persone che lavorano nell'hotel. Grazie per l'ospitalità.

This is a delightful historic hotel ideal for exploring old town Shimla. As an Oberoi property, it may not be at the luxury level of others in the chain, but that also makes it reasonably priced. (And note this may change as hotel is currently closed for major renovation). I was so very impressed with the service: Hot water bottles are a delightful touch to warm the beds on winter nights there (something I have never been offered at other hotels); when my daughter experienced a racing heartrate from altitude sickness, they brought in a blood pressure test to check; and finally all staff seemed to remember our names flawlessly. The comfort food was delicious. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the property.
