We are a group of 7 friends. I made a reservation for all of us together and paid around 8€, which I thought was a very good price. The day we arrived, the owner told us the price was per person and not for the whole booking, which was odd as the reservation already had our 7 names on it, but also reasonable considering the very low price. After our stay I can honestly say that the original price of 8€ for 7 is the maximum I would have paid for this place. The rooms themselves are not too bad and in line with the Chinese standard (quite right, very hard and slim futon mattresses), but also clean sheets and good privacy with curtains. The real issue with this place are the bathrooms. First of all there are only two of them for more than 20 people. Secondly, they are nothing short of disgusting. One of them is a room with a squatting toilet, a sink and a shower that smells like piss worse than a public toilet. The second one has a Western toilet with a broken toilet seat and a shower without a shower head (basically like a garden hose). I normally don't complain about these things as I'm used to traveling on a budget. But as I said, these are things I would have totally accepted if the price I paid was indeed the original one I made a reservation for. Especially because for that price (as a group of 7) you can find cheaper and nicer options in the same area. I would not recommend this place unless you really can't find anything cheaper or better, or if you want to be very close to the civic center. Definitely not a good place to stay more than 1 night.

Nachdem wir wir für 3 Personen gebucht haben, wurde uns zum gegebenen Preis nur 1 Bett zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Hostel war unendlich dreckig, hatte einen schlechten Geruch und die Tapete kam von den Wänden. Da wir abends ankamen, konnten wir in kein anderes Hotel mehr einchecken und waren gezwungen Betten hinzuzubuchen. Extrem schlechte Erfahrung. Die meisten duschen kann man auch nicht benutzen.

Beds are decent, but it’s more like a hostel for local Chinese people. Would recommend it for Chinese travelers, but not for western. But the other guests have been really helpful and nice.

For the price, it's pretty fair. You have to pay for the laundry machine. I didn't fit in the bed and my feet stuck out the bottom. It didn't have a very social youth hostel vibe, it seemed most people were living there to work. Location is very good but such a pain to find at first. Had to ask 4 different people.
