Jonas Hotel is in between a beautiful scenery area . The staff all are extremely polite and helpful to any need. The room is comfortable with a large bathroom and luggage area. The wifi connection is fast and the rate is perfect for all these amenities. They do not have breakfast service so they don’t charge breakfast however still they offer free coffee , tea and pastry in the morning . Perfect.

Jonas is always a good, reliable option everytime I'm in Sheffield.

I was really charmed by the Jonas Hotel, which is a block set among university halls of residence. This meant there were no through roads and there was landscaping all around. So peaceful and quite a Scandinavian view from my hotel window! I was on my own for one night, in town for a gig. The room was very tiny (with bed touching all walls) but this suited me fine. Even the head and side of the wall was cushioned to protect rolling around in a small space! Everything was extremely modern and good quality from the taps to the toilet to the plugs to the bed to the TV. I also loved the Sheffield art and phrases scattered in the lobby and throughout the hotel. The only slight fault I would say was that the walls were paper thin, so thin I could hear someone jangling their hangers next door. Sleeping with ear plugs helped.

I chose this hotel as it said it had free parking. The parking was extremely limited, only about 10 spaces then almost the same number of disabled spaces which were never even half full. Wasn’t allowed to park in a disabled space so had to park a 5 minute walk away on the street which was very inconvenient and I didn’t feel safe as a solo female walking at night. Room was ok I suppose for price but Premier Inn/ Travelodges with similar prices are generally much better. The pillows were not comfortable and the shower screen was very dirty at the bottom. The window ledge was also very dirty which made opening the window a hazard as the dirt blew in straight on to the bed which was right against the window wall. The carpet was stained and the TV switched itself on during the night - scary! Other guests not respectful of others, shouting and swearing very loudly and seemingly a party going on in the early hours which made sleeping a challenge.

The Jonas was clean thankfully. But the double bed is not a double athough it was comfortable. The Room was hot although we opened the window. There were no Tea/Coffee facilities or any cups or mugs to pour a drink into. Only one very flat pillow per person also, basically the bed is for One person

Its a simple hotel, convenient for the university and the student quarter. The staff are always lovely and the rooms very clean. Thats why we keep going back.

No parking anywhere had to book another hotel not suitable for people working in Sheffield, i advise people not to book this hotel i lost £55 on this booking

The hotel was really nice the staff were very friendly but the room was extremely hot to the point we couldn’t sleep at all the first night there was no fan available until we complained to the manager could barely open the window because it was a safety risk yet the room was that hot we both nearly passed out on the Friday the manager did say I would get a 20% discount but I’ve not received that yet
