墨爾本阿登利亞飯店(Melbourne Ardenlea Hotel)

I would AVOID this place we arrived to find it was shut no communication to tell us at all a note on the door saying closed but they took our money. Absolutely disgusting we had a 4 year old with us had to find somewhere else to stay at such short notice

DISGUSTING HOTEL. The pictures on the website were probably googled or taken when the hotel first opened decades ago. Not fit for a dog but fit for **********!!!! My wife and i were worried as soon as we walked in the hotel. Dirty, smelly, mould all over and no way fit for purpose. Should be shut down!! We left after a few minutes. See pictures please!

Stay else where. Hotel needs a lot of TLC and safety checked by H&S, also the fire and rescue. Not reliable, unclean and unsafe. Spoken to other hoteliers and sadly they know of the reputation this hotel holds, shame I didn’t do homework before booking. Would not step in again. Book another hotel.

Booked a couple of months ago to arrive 19/1/23, payment was taken the week before. We turned up to it locked and a notice on the door 'closed until further notice'. Didn't even bother to call or email us. The carpark was a mess and a broken window was covered by a black bin bag. But reading the recent reviews, and seeing the pictures, we had a lucky escape. Not even an apology and a refund is going to take 7-12 days. Definitely look elsewhere.

The hotel was filthy. Rubbish thrown all over the grounds no attempt to clean up. Rooms disgusting and filthy had to keep shoes on to walk around the room and pizza boxes and rubbish on the balcony.Breakfast was terrible, pool had rubbish all around it and beer cans. I just can’t understand how the staff who worked there couldn’t see all the rubbish and pick it up. Didn’t stay went to another clean hotel in the end. Don’t stay here should be closed!!

This place needs to be inspected badly. Room was damp you could smell it as soon as you walked in. Dirty walls, dirty bathroom, stained carpets. We checked in late and were told keys would be in reception. No staff there at all and keys just left out on the counter. Let's be clear on "Breakfast included" hot water instant tea coffee, a few pastires most people were leaving, three boxes of cereal and a toaster. We got down at 8.30 am there was no coffee one of our group asked the receptionist if he could have coffee and was responded to with "NO" no explanation or "Sorry we have run out" just a rude "NO" Do yourself a favour give this one a miss. Dirty horrible place.

The hotel needs a major upgrade of both decorations and fittings. The lift and swimming pool were closed due to major faults No food was available. Breakfast consisted of hot water with instant coffee and tea bags and stale pastries. There were insufficient staff to run the hotel. No bar or restaurant service was available.

Running a tour to the Island with 20+ people, Claire & Amy were very helpful and accomodating. The price per person was great as it was B & B. The price was low as its a budget hotel, this is not the Dorchester!!!. Ideal for some, not for others. Breakfast was somewhat chaotic, but food was ok. Pool table, bar, reception adequate for the budget. The rooms - I didnt see them all, but our was fine and I have heard no complaints from other tourers. Lift didnt work, I didnt try the pool. Carpets and wall coverings showing their age too. This hotel needs an injection of money but if the owners dont do that, they'll keep getting poor reviews. Please bear in mind that the staff are not the owners. They can only work with what they are given. For me, this worked great as a touring hotel, and I would go back. Ample parking and friendly staff. As I said, this is budget, not 5*, so dont expect the latter

Paid for 3 nights , left after 1. Absolute toilet of a place. Needs huge investment to make It the place it could be. That or pull it down. Asked several times for tv- never got one. Window stuck open . No towels no loo rolls ( we given after requesting). Dirty , dated, yucky! There's more but I cba after the let down. Please , PLEASE, DO NOT BOOK TO STAY HERE. You have been warned!
