Went as a solo traveler. The room was very clean & hipster chic. The food at the attached Ben Paris restaurant was great! Everyone who worked there was incredibly nice & very helpful. Walking distance to so many great Seattle attractions: ferries, the Seattle Art Museum, Pikes Market, Under the Streets tour as well The Can Can Can Culinary Cabaret. The only drawback is the parking - like most older big city hotels there is no attached parking structure. The paid parking structure ($10-$32/day) is about 1 city block down from the hotel and is a bit sketchy if you are coming/ going at really late/early hours. All in all I would really recommend this hotel! I really enjoyed my stay there!

The hotel is very nice, with decent, smallish rooms with all needed amenities, good toiletries and a very comfortable bed. However it is really lacking in service for a 4 star property. Rooms are not turned down unless you ask before 10am. When I asked for this, in the middle of my 4 night stay, staff replenished the coffee supplies but did not touch the user mugs or glasses, nor the bed or bathroom. Very strange to come in the room but not do any basic cleaning or replace used glassware.

We had the best stay at The State Hotel. We could see the sound and the market right outside our window. This location is amazing! The parking was only 1/2 a block away to. The roof terrace we amazing to and we loved the resturant, so good! You will not be disappointed with this hotel! Top Notch!!!!!

Soon arrival the building was locked so we had to wait for a clerk to come let us in. The hotel was very nice aesthetically and clean. The room we had was clean and neat. The rooms are very small so small we had to stack our luggage so it would be out of the way. The rooms were missing a few key items almost essential like an iron, iron board, luggage stands and water for the in room complimentary coffee and tea. The bathrooms look nice ask updated but not very functional. The sink was so tiny almost impossible to use without making a mess. The shower has no door so water floods the bathroom floor so your placemat just stays wet the entire stay. The views from the outdoor balcony are an added bonus that is shared space. Theres a fitness center in the basement but if you don’t get enough walking in on your stay there a place to work out. The restaurant/bar is nice and convenient loud and a good vibe. Food was cooked as described in a quick manner.

All the staff members at this hotel were extremely friendly and accommodating. When we checked in, our assigned room was on the second floor with no view. The room I reserved was a king with city view. Shortly after arriving, I went down and asked if another room with a view was available. They immediately moved us to a water view on the 6th floor. The hotel is clean and very quiet at night. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. Overall it was a great stay.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at The State Hotel! This was our first time in Seattle and I’m so happy we found this place! We walked out the front door and were basically at the Market. Every staff person we encountered went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for. Restaurant in the hotel had a delicious brunch and beautiful atmosphere. Our room was quiet and clean. Every detail was thought of. We can’t wait to come back!

Property was very clean and secure. Restaurant was delicious and very hospitable. Wish breakfast started at 7 instead of 9. We had to leave by 8 to get to the airport. Walking distance from Pikes Place. Too many homeless outside of the building and crime at the Target across the street. Mainly in the night hours. Daytime is safe
