魔毯小屋(Sand Dollar Inn)

I stayed two nights. I did not put the Do Not Disturb sign in the door yet the maid service was not provided. I had to go to the office to request clean towels. Noisy people inside and outside room both nights after midnight. They did provide decent coffee however and the TV and hair dryer worked. Mattress not bad but pillows too big and hard. No extra blanket. Heater in room did not work properly.

********** said the hotel was pet friendly but did not tell me about the $67 charge for bringing my pet. Air conditioning shut down at 10pm and didn't start back up till 5:30 am Finally tried the window to get some air movement in the room, but it had no screen, power went off at the hotel 5 times during the day, but places outside down the street had power to there signs

Only place in Monterey where you will be able to get a hotel right on the beach. The beautiful scenery is all this place has going for it. The rooms are a complete mess, very unsanitary, and foul smelling. I paid for the king deluxe oceanfront and received a standard queen with no view, all without being notified prior to arrival. The customer service is terrible, still waiting on a response from Travelocity to resolve the issue. I do not recommend this place

Worst stay I have ever experienced at a hotel. Cable tv would not work. Rooms and pictures of room don’t match. Room was super dirty. Toilet was dirty had pee on the side of it. No washcloths. Door would not close properly, in the event of an emergency the bars on the window and bad door, you’d be dead. Also, no outlet covers on outlet, just exposed wires. Staff was incredibly unhelpful and couldn’t care. How they are still in operation is beyond me.

An old school highway motel but very well kept. Right on the main drag so cars, motorcycles and emergency vehicles can sometimes be heard. I am a frugal person and I am very familiar with old school highway motels. This was the best of the best. Get there early and ask for a balcony. Walking distance from many types of restaurants. I can recommend Chopstix, a Vietnameses place right across the street. B I G portions!

3 days no clean towels , toilet clogged when I called desk again told them the issues again….I was brought one towel and a plunger for a sink so apparently I paid to be the maintenance person as well as maid service so no the stay was not pleasant

This is one of my go to hotels in the Monterey area and I appreciate that it's relatively affordable. Having staid at many of the budget friendly hotels in the area, Sand Dollar Inn is the nicest.
