基爾科斯角落飯店(Kirks Korner Motel)

We arrived to find that of our 3 rooms booked and paid for only 2 were available and the other had been sold to another. They made up an disused room for us to replace this sold room. However instead of the "deluxe room" booked we had a room used for the homeless by the council which was confirmed by the staff. The facilities are very basic and some dont work. Some rooms are better than others. We had 3 rooms. Our bathroom light was intermittent, the bathroom handle was hanging off. The paint is peeling in all rooms. My daughters room was awful and we did not use it. Her bedroom window did not close even at the end of October when cold; The light on the stairway (with no windows) did not work, so the stairs were total darkness; The shower did not work and was hanging off the wall with bare wires; The tv was missing, The carpet was totally disgusting and was covered in so many stains that you didn't want to take your shoes off; Basic kitchen facilities are missing eg no bowls (had to use a lunch box to eat our cereal), other guests are loud and disrepectful... Hairs in the sink and shower; Skid marks in the toilet; Sheets are un-ironed (but a minor point considering); Communal kitchens are a disgrace and not fit for use, microwave disgusting, grease everywhere. No natural light in our room as the blind would not go up, however in another room there was no blind at all, so the light came in the room very early. We only wanted somewhere comfortable to sleep, the location was not so important, however if this is important you need to know this is on a forecourt of a petrol station. The firedoor which said to keep closed, was propped open with the fire extinguisher, which not only meant the door was not closed but there was also a blockage in the doorway. I hate having to leave a negative review but this property just isn't up to the basic standards. The only positives the bed was reasonably comfortable and the room temperature was fine in the rooms where the window closed. Wifi was OK.

I arrived and no one was there. I hadn’t picked that up from the website I booked on- hotel.com. It has a ‘reception in an attached petrol station and closes at 9pm. I had just driven from Gatwick. There was no answer on the phone number and hotel. Com were unable to help after multiple calls where they left me holding and then rang off. After driving round until midnight I finally got the last room at Travelodge.

Booked on *********** and turned up at this place. After about 20 minutes of us standing in a petrol station shop and the employees trying to get hold of the management we were informed that they infant didn't even have a room for us They offered no alternative accommodation and when we enquired about a refund seemed unwilling to give us any. So we walked out and phoned *********** who were most helpful and refunded us. We were lucky to find alternative accommodation and booked into that but what if we had turned up at 9pm? What if we couldn't find alternative accomodation? What if we were an older couple dumped into the streets of scunthorpe because these people had rented out rooms they didn't have avaliable. The people weren't even sympathising about our situation I'd be suprised if it don't happen regular. You know what to do, avoid at all times or you too could find yourself booking a room that don't exists then going through hoops to get your money back.

The room stank the bedding was all screwed up and needed a good wash, no proper heating, blinds didn't work properly, the passage way was filthy, it was that uncomfortable and disgusting we left the next morning we would not recommend the motel to anyone

There is no hot water and the heater in the room is not working. It was cheap and cheerful and I got just that and worst.

Had to leave at midnight as i couldnt get any sleep as there must have been a party going on in one of the rooms , slept in my car , not a good experience and a waste of money to be honest

Unwashed towels and bedding. No heating although 3 degrees outside. No remote for tv. No kettle but two cups! One half full of water. I couldn’t stay as just so dirty! Told guy in shop where you check in. Said sorry and was shocked as he said room was cleaned. Showed him towel and bedding. Was told I’d get a refund but nothing!!

No reception area. No hot water in the tap. No tea and coffee for facilities. Walls dirty and carpet torn and frayed..
